Beautiful
Very tight layout leave the driver at home, homes could come into plat if your wayward at all
Greens very fast and unforgiving
I did not like the greens, very light putts rolled off the green, down a hill and once in a sand trap. Turning par putts into double bogeys. Doesn’t make sense for a course that attracts average golfers.
Great value
Nicely reconditioned, greens still filling in. Good value. Staff is super
Not bad
Great views and course layout. Tee boxes need to leveled. Staff was the best I have experienced!
Fun 9 holes
Greens are very challenging but a fun little course.
Needs a ton of work and it’s not worth the money.
I will not play there again.
Greens were too fast, balls would not stay on the greens. Fairways were wet and had a hard time making good contact with the ball. No drinks or food at the course.
Great course for a quick 9
There are very few walkable courses in Tucson, and this walkable course costs $20 for nine holes (or $25 with a cart) and it is probably the best deal that you will find during the winter months without driving way north, or east.
That being said, it is TOUGH. Almost unfair in certain cases, but perfect for what I am looking for, which is to walk nine holes with my young son (who doesn’t hit the ball far enough to get in trouble on a narrow course like this), and not spend the same amount of time in the car as we spend on the course.
Tip: put the driver away (even on the par 5s) and play short, accurate shots - you’ll have way more fun and score way better… hitting the ball further than 200 yards will almost always make you score worse.
Not worth it except for the views.
Most fairways slope dramatically to one side or the other, greens are generally small with a lot of slopes which move all but the best shots off the green. Most fairways are on the narrow side. For 9 holes, better to play at a regular 18 hole course.
No expectations
For our first swings back in AZ, we decided to explore this course in OV. Didn't know the recent history until we checked in at the pro shop. Narrow fairways and sloping greens offer sufficient challenge and occasional frustration (depending on pin placements). Course shows the effects of recent closure. Kudos to the locals who've stepped up to keep golf alive here.
Sorry you felt that way. The course has some very challenging holes but I wouldn't say the course was in terrible condition. I thought it was in pretty darn good condition. Sounds like you had a bad day. Its a par 35 and I shot 32
