El Conquistador Golf & Tennis - Conquistador Course

There are two very nice courses here. Wonderful staff at every turn. Looking forward to my next visit here.

Wow what a turn around I play these courses all the time...The Quality of th courses have gone from 4 to 8.5 one more year and this place will be a 10 for both coursese

Tremendous improvement. Course pristine. Tees, fairways, greens just fantastic!

Very disappointed in conditions of course as I had called ahead to find out if the course was being scalped prior to overseeding. I was told no, they don't do that. However, I wasn't told that because they were going to be overseeding the course that it was very dried out. I was told it was in good shape and I didn't feel it was. Had we known, I would have waited to play it another time. Pace of play was really bad. Over 4 1/2 hours and even being paired with another 2some, we waited on every hole. As far as the course, every green was elevated, which was very hard to figure out where the hole was. Had lunch in the restaurant and the bread for our sandwich was dried out. Again, a disappointing day of golf.

CANT WAIT TO GET SOME DISCOUNTED RATES. I CANT WAIT TO PLAY THE OTHER COURSE. I HEARD ITS MORE FUN!

We have played this course before and usually enjoy it.

Greens in good shape and rolled fairly true with average speed. Fairways and rough were generally in very good shape. Pace of play was excellent (3 1/2 hours). All staff we met were very friendly and accommodating. Free balls at driving range for warm up. Sand traps a little rough but definitely playable.

Greens are in great shape. Everything else is below average. Fairways are spotty with several area of dead grass or no grass. Tee boxes are uneven with areas devoid of grass. Cart paths need to be replaced. Practice tee area needs grass and the practice balls need entire stock replaced. Otherwise the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

This course at one time was enjoyable to play. It now needs many improvements to make it an attraction for serious golfers to want to play it again.

Golf course, was average…fairways were rough, a ton of crab grass. Greens were good.

Overall appearance was poor, needs more attention to landscape and frways .

Staff was very friendly, golf personal out front very nice. Would not recommend to friends…my playing partner that I was paired with was abousulety the best part…u always meet new friends on the golf course.

Always a great course to play. Greens were a little slow, but I assume they leave them a little longer in the summer.

Really great course, a little more maintenance could push this to a premimum course category, but I wonder if it would have been that good if not for record monsoon rain.

Fairways and Greens were in reasonable shape. Greens were a bit slow. Bunkers has ample sand, but not kept up too well. Range was MATS...Uggggg. That ruined the entire day for me. Price was good...pace of play was slow.

This course has new greens and excepting the 18th fairway the entire course was quite green and nice. The greens were quite slow and a bit lumpy with wobbly ball roll. A pet peeve of mine though is the traps were not raked the day we played and were quite wet and hard. The course is short but quite tricky with tough decisions off the tee. Many greens are elevated so approach shot accuracy is at a premium here. Lots of nice views of the Catalina mountains was a plus.

This was the first time we played the course. Excellent condition and great value.
