Ranger needs to come out and speed up people
4:50 round is unacceptable. Ranger needs to get out on course. Slow as molasses. But course seemed mostly kept up.
Great course
Crooked Tree has quickly become mine and my son-in-law’s favorite public course in Tucson. Great layout, well maintained and most importantly the pro shop staff are fantastic! Brian made my five year old granddaughter feel like a true champion.
Thank you!
Good course
There are several courses in Tucson that are not pristine and expensive, but very playable. This is one of those courses. Crooked Tree has an unassuming but large pro shop and restaurant in one building. The practice facilities are expansive to include chipping areas and more than one putting field in addition to the driving range. The course is an average length with 6,279 for the white tees, but expands to 6,644 for the combination. The tee boxes, fairways and greens are in great condition. There are only a few dog leg turns, and otherwise the fairways are pretty flat. There's also nearly no rough as the grass is cut short outside the fairways. There used to be more sand traps, but they are now filled in with grass. It's not very challenging, but a good course for a relaxing round or to practice difficult shots. I recommend yellow or red balls for the 10th hole after the turn because it's right next to the driving range and it's frequently littered with practice balls. I have played there about 5 times and I will return.
Course was getting ready for over seeding.
If I had know how bad the course conditions were I wouldn’t have played. I realize they got quite a bit of rain and getting ready for over seeding does quite a big mess
Slow burn
Awesome course, had to take the cart through some construction and the guys in front of us were going really slow. But overall really fun and beautiful course
Overbooked and Poorly Maintained
Played this course Monday and it was extremely disappointing. The round took five hours, the Range Master did nothing to speed play.
The course was in poor condition greens full of debris, dry patches and divots. Tee boxes were domed frustrating to play off of.
Garbage
Paid $64 and this course is trash. Utter trash.
Worth only $25.
Great Track
As a muni course this is a great deal. Off at 0630 and done by 0900 what more could you ask for. Tee boxes could use some work, greens and fairways are great.
It's a fun track when looking to have some fun
Nice public course
Pretty flat and open fairways, good price for driving range, tee boxes were a bit uneven but it is obvious they are working on it. For the hottest summer days the greens were very nice and green and the fairways had more green than we usually see. Bar is open for beer, wine and canned beverages. Friendly staff! Not really open for food but there’s a great place down the road for after the round. The Barnfire!
Fantastic course
The course is in great condition considering it’s the middle of summer. Tee boxes, fairways, greens all in great shape. Staff is really friendly from the pro shop and restaurant to the greens keepers!! Love this course.
Picturesque and playable
Picturesque desert and mountain views accented an enjoyable round of golf. Amazing how many gorgeous saguaros and other cactuses surround the area. The course is very fair and well-maintained. Greens rolled well. Sand bunkers have been converted to grass bunkers, an innovative solution to the challenges of maintaining sand traps in the Arizona desert.
