Good Grass
The course is a bit rough around the edges, but overall the the playing surfaces are very good. It took 5 hours to play which was the downside of the experience.
Back for 2nd round.
You should play a course twice to get a better feel for the course. Conditions were really good. Lush fairways and greens. The grass bunkers cannot be underestimated.
I would play this course again. Pace was 3 hours day one and 3 1/2 next day. People must really like this course cuz it was packed on course and at practice facility.
Friday Golf
My friend and I played with two local single players. One of the singles walked, while the rest of usbrode carts. Their knowledge of the course and friendly interaction made it enjoyable for us first timers.
The course was in good condition, speed of play was good, as we were neither pushing nor being pushed.
It was a fair price to play here and we would gladly come back to play.
Good local golf course
Course was playable, a little slow at times. Played Leigh local guys they were great.
Fun day
Very playable course fun to play. Grass bunkers instead of sand.
KS Duffer
Condition of fairways and greens well watered very green Front 9 pokey cleared up for back 9. No marshals seen. Good duffer course. balls can be lost if u slice bad. Coyotes and roadrunners around and in course. Greens really green and soft. Probably a $40 course off season. If not busy 2 hr round is possible. Great average Joe course. Late afternoon will get busy with nearby school for golf class. Has couple of water holes.
Was a great day
Me and a coworker played a practice game, afterwards we wanted to get more hits in, was very happy with the replay rate $20.00. We both played 2 full games. Only thing that would make it better is if there was beverage carts.
Good Day for Golf
Had a great time playing at Crooked tree. They have this course in excellent condition.
Crowded on Friday
As expected, the course was full on Friday afternoon. Plenty of waiting on tee boxes; 4:45 hr. round. Course was in fine condition and staff was efficient. Driving range was good. My wife and I both played our lowest scoring rounds ever, and played with a nice local gentleman. Beautiful day to play.
Ranger needs to come out and speed up people
4:50 round is unacceptable. Ranger needs to get out on course. Slow as molasses. But course seemed mostly kept up.
Great course
Crooked Tree has quickly become mine and my son-in-law’s favorite public course in Tucson. Great layout, well maintained and most importantly the pro shop staff are fantastic! Brian made my five year old granddaughter feel like a true champion.
Thank you!
Good course
There are several courses in Tucson that are not pristine and expensive, but very playable. This is one of those courses. Crooked Tree has an unassuming but large pro shop and restaurant in one building. The practice facilities are expansive to include chipping areas and more than one putting field in addition to the driving range. The course is an average length with 6,279 for the white tees, but expands to 6,644 for the combination. The tee boxes, fairways and greens are in great condition. There are only a few dog leg turns, and otherwise the fairways are pretty flat. There's also nearly no rough as the grass is cut short outside the fairways. There used to be more sand traps, but they are now filled in with grass. It's not very challenging, but a good course for a relaxing round or to practice difficult shots. I recommend yellow or red balls for the 10th hole after the turn because it's right next to the driving range and it's frequently littered with practice balls. I have played there about 5 times and I will return.
