Crooked Tree Golf Course

This was my first time going out on the course without an experienced golfer with me. I am a subpar young female golfer who was pretty intimidated to go out alone.

The pace is perfect for beginners (a little slow) but it gives you plenty of opportunity to practice. Everyone was incredibly friendly and made it the perfect first-time experience. I intend to keep going back and recommending it to my friends who are just starting to get into golf.

Highly recommend Crooked Tree. Challenging layout, good condition, beautiful vistas….I clueing a pack of coyotes to pass by Hole #1 at 7:30 am.

Can’t give an informed review because it started raining after teeing off on number 1. Hit second shot then it started pouring and had to seek shelter. So waited at clubhouse for it to stop or lighten up. After a 45 minutes the rain decided it wasn’t going to stop. Went to the starter and inquired about a rain check since it wasn’t possible to go back out and was told too bad so that’s why the review sucks

I’ve played this course many times and was surprised to see the bad condition of many of the greens. I don’t know if they have a fungus or what, but I will avoid playing here for awhile.

Greens were extremely bumpy with tank track link strips on them. Lots of dead and bare patches are Lund the actual greens. Sand bunkers are all being allowed to become over grown with grass - I guess they are changing them to grass bunkers. Was supposed to be a special day which turned out so so because of the green complexes. Probably won’t go back.

We're behind 4 older gentlemen, 2 wore orange shirts. They were over 1 hole behind all day. Round was 4:45. Course needs some help, especially on the greens. Not sure worth 40 dollars especially this time of year.

My wife and I chose this course on Golf Now as it had a 4 star rating. Many were being kind rather than honest. It was terribly windy 35mph w gusts above 40 so we played 7 holes and left! First time ever I have not finished a course. Partly due to the wind but also very, very slow play (2 hours 30 minutes for 7 holes) and the course was like a muni course with no fairways or trees and the former sand traps were just inverted grass bunkers now. Very beat up fairways. The worst condition course I have been on in many years. Asked for a rain check or wind check or refund but only got an asterisk that they MAY give me a price break the next time I played it.

I am so impressed with the condition of this course. Greens are soft and receptive, run true and hold long iron shots. Fairways are in great shape for this time of year in Arizona. Highly recommend this course!

The course was in excellent shape for the beginning of July. The fairways had a lot of grass and it was green. The greens were true and average speed.
