Mike Dasher's Highlands Reserve (opened 1998) is suggestive and irresistible. The course sits on the edge of a long sand shelf called the Green Swamp Ridge near the town of Davenport, spanning 120 feet from top to bottom. Dasher's holes fairly dance around it, two-stepping from a high point at the first green all the way to the low basin of the 13th fairway.

You will find pine tree-lined fairways reminiscent of the Carolinas, open spacious fairways likened to the great Scottish courses, and a bit of old Florida with citrus trees along the countryside.

Poor organisation

We booked with GolfNow for 10.20 , when arriving at course had to get own cart and was told in pro shop now 10.28 with no apology or explanation given. This used to be one of our favourite courses we always return to. Not so sure again!

Please go back and read the terms you agreed to. It clearly states that we reserve the right to move your tee time forward or back one time. your time was moved one time.

Slow greens

The greens are extremely slOK. Very little water hazards. Draught has really made fairways burnt. For the reduced rate, it was ok.

Played a scramble and had a 63 which isn't to shabby. We did play loose meaning if 4 putts to hole were relatively the same line and within 2 inches for bird we took it due to sand and aeration. Great time had by all. Will be back. Keep up the great work.
