Average sand trap conditions; but below average greens conditions.
I enjoyed the round but there were three negatives:
1) Slow pace of play.
2) Sand traps need more sand.
3) greens had some very rough areas.
slow round
We were booked behind a mixed group of about 20 people, and then a twosome immediately ahead of us, who seemed to think that their tee shot was going to carry over 300 yards, consequently what looked to be a slow round ended up being painfully slow. No sign of Marshalls to move things along. The course is one of my favourites, but it's getting a bit tired. I will have to think twice about playing there again.
This is an average course. I would not pay over $40 to play. Range balls are in poor condition. Greens are slow and have several bare spots. Some simple things were not attended to that could make the course better. There was no sand in the sand bottles on our golf cart. There were some bare spots around greens that did not appear to be attended to. Improving the quality of the range balls would make a better first impression on golfers. The course layout is average. The staff was friendly. I recommend the course for under $40.
Enjoy playing this former LPGA course
Really fun course and not very difficult. With the exception of a couple of holes, the fairways are wide and straight. The greens, for us, seemed quite true also. Heck, I scored well so I have nothing to complain about!!
Very, very friendly staff too! That always starts the golf round off with the right attitude!
Good course
Good course for a hot deal GolfNow price. Fairways in good shape, greens are slow and have some brown spots. 8 handicap and enjoyed course for price. Will definitely return. Wife enjoyed course, 12 handicap. Has a good layout of holes.
Golf at Indigo Lakes
Great conditions perfect place for the average Golfer who is expected or just beginning very player friendly many tees to choose to play seniors get a reality big advantage, easy to play up tees .
Worth the drive
I frequently drive out to this course even though I live closer to Orlando. I'm anxious to get back, because I've not been there since the hurricane. This is one of my favorite tracks in Central Florida. It's very challenging, but fun and well maintained. I look for three things in a course. Pace of play, good greens and nice staff. This place generally has all three. I wish the beverage cart was around later in the afternoon...it gets hot out there. Love this place though, highly recommend it.
The back nine on the course are in great shape. Front nine could use some work,
Good Track needs TLC
Played 2-4 times a year over the last 3 years. Overall v. good, challenging holes, like the course but currently in so-so condition after recent hurricane.
Current drought in Fl. not helping either.
Fun course usually in pretty fair condition with fairly quick greens.
Check out the conditions in advance but usually well worth playing.
Great Value
Great value for a great course. Beautiful day to play golf with a great staff to take care of us.
what great cpndition
will play many times more this winter. great work repairing storm damage
Very Disappointed
I played this course several times last year and enjoyed the experience. It would appear that the recent Hurricane has taken its toll and has done a lot of damage. The greens especially are in terrible shape, very slow with lots of bare patches. Hopefully, in time, the course will improve to it's previous condition.
The staff in the clubhouse was busy on the phone and didn't even bother to thank us for coming in. No starter to be seen. Play was very slow. Greens were shaggy.
First time,not the last
My wife and I enjoyed playing this course despite the heavy rains that resulted in very little roll and required cart path only. The price was very reasonable and the course was in otherwise good shape. We look forward to coming back and playing under more favorable conditions.
Greens
Course conditions were good, despite much rain the preceding week. However, the greens need a lot of attention. Don't understand what happened since the greens were in good condition approximately 6-8 weeks ago.
Indigo Lakes
The course was in pretty good shape, though some of the greens had some issues. I did like the layout of the course & had the opportunity to play with another single player. I would return at some future visit to the Daytona Beach area.
extremechangedly disappointed
We had played this course several times in the past year and it was in good shape and getting better each time we played. The greens we smooth and pretty quick.I had recommended Indigo Lakes to several people.By the time we got on the first green we were so disappointed. The sloppy fairway and bumpy, dead grass on the green made my heart sink. The rest of the course was terrible. You needed a 3 iron to putt the slow greens that had more brown, dead spots that green. The people that took this golf course over a year or so ago were improving it.I don't know what happened but this is the worse course we have played including Palm Harbor and Cypress Knolls. We won't be back unless someone proves to me that this course has changed. It's a shame what this LPGA course has become!
Terrible greens - Great potential
This course has such great potential. It's an interesting, challenging, yet fair layout. The only issue, and it's a big one is the terrible condition of the greens. I'd give them a 3 on a one to ten scale. Burned out in many places, plug holes and the cups were so rough around the edges, it looked like they had not been changed in a week. Too bad because the bones of the course are so good. Hopefully the management will "see the light" and start putting some much needed attention to the greens.
