Just ok
I would have given a higher score but the pace of play was awful on the back nine. There were literally 4 groups on one hole! Our tee time was in the middle of the day on a weekday so there is no excuse for the slow pace of play. A course ranger should have been managing this. We skipped 4 holes on the back nine to play the last 3 holes and on 17 we were waiting again. Crazy. I don't think I will be back when there are other options in the area like Laurel Hill in Lorton or Twin Lakes down the road in Clifton.
Slowest round I have ever played
Most holes had 3 groups on it at once. 5 plus hour round on a course under 6000 yards is really bad. Marshall looked us square in face and said there is nothing he could do about pace of play. Only reason course got a 2 was the beverage court lady was absolutely amazing.

Course was good, get your grub before you come.
The course is good. Come for the golf that's it and that's the most important bit.
I would never recommend breaking the rules of a course. No outside alcholol is permitted. Be aware that two hotdogs and an irish coffee was 25 dollars.

Challenging and beautiful layout.
The course is very challenging and hard to compete with water hazards. Its designed layouts lot better than the 1757 GC at Ashburn as I experienced.

it's a shot maker's course
First, NO warm up range, just a net...that's bad
Second, it's a fun and challenging layout considering the tips are around 6200 yards
Third - LOTs of construction (new bunkers, etc) around the course, which wasn't so bad
It's a shot maker's course - if you can't hit your driver straight, leave it at home, you can be fine with a 3w..which is both good and bad. For a short course, the hole were fun and a bit of a challenge, the greens were lightning and tough but fair. If you prefer a "traditional" length and width, don't bother, this will test your accuracy and eye.
I'd love to return when it's grown in, it'll be fun to play again.
Also, @ $64, it's $30 cheaper than the other public cow pastures in the area, which is a positive too.

Hold It
Course conditions and layout were great, but lack of bathrooms...especially in consideration of female players is why I’m giving a lower rating...hole after the lane had a bathroom and it was “closed” and nothing was available until 18...UTI much?

Great course
course was in great shape a little rain some wind but a great day on the links greens was in great shape coming off the winter cold fairways look good will be back soon for another round staff was polite and helpful .really like this course .

Course under a lot of repair
Most ofvthe course is under repair. The greens are in great condition but most of the bunkers are just gravel and even the rough around the greens are in horrible shape. The fairways were just clumps of grass..So if you do play here, get on the green as soon as you can!! Even if your round does not go as well as you expected, the club house restaurant, mulligans, is a great place to unwind and decompress

Seaview Stay & Play Golf Package
Looking into this further, I could see that our GPS Pace of Play system does not show any significant slow play and that the average pace was 3:39 for the day, which is well ahead of the 4:00 pace of play we have set. If you could reach out to me at babrams@penderbrookgolfclub.com and let me know your tee time I could investigate further.
