Golfer Reviews
Interesting Layout
Fun layout, course was recovering from previously "Soggy Conditions". Coming off a week of sun drying the course. It was it good condition. It had been 6 years since I had last played here. I will be back.
Wet wet wet!
I really like the layout here but the course was super wet which meant the fairways were not cut in probably a week. The grass around the lakes and rough were so long you couldn’t even find your ball. Overall very disappointing course conditions.
First Timer
No problems whatsoever .....green, green. Greens quite slow but expected what with recent wet weather. Workers abound. Cart gals taking care of business which was good since restaurant not open. Nice facility. Will be back
Very wet
Course was wet and some of greens not in great shape
No wonder this place struggles
We were not notified in advance (we had a tee-time) that course was closed since excessively wet. Three of us (two separate cars) drove 45 minutes to meet there. The guy that then told us course closed was pretty rude - not at all apologetic. They of course had our email and mobile number from when we made the reservation.
GREAT TRACK
Cypress Creek is a really good course. Choose your tee box wisely. Today's was a 90 degree day as we had a lot of rain in the area recently.
Great day on the course
CypressCreek has a great layout and is a terrific course. It was a little wet in some areas but didn't affect play much. I like playing the course and will definitely be back. the greens must have been recently aerated for there was some sand on them.
Played in 3 hours
It seems like. they are going out of business. No starter, no ice, no water. Greens starting to get weed infested. Great course on the way out. Played in 3 hours.. no one in sight had an 11.40 tee time. For $30 it's great.
Shocking Decline in Course
My wife and I play Cypress every couple of months.
2 Months ago it was in as good a shape as I have ever seen it and I have played it for 23 years.
We played yesterday and the difference was shocking.
Fairways were uneven and covered with weeds.
The rough had not been cut in quite some time and was uneven and unplayable in some areas.
Greens were OK but extremely slow.
Don't know what happened but we were really disappointed.
Craphole
I’ve played here for 5 years and it’s just getting worse and worse. Good luck finding your ball 5 feet off the fairway when they aren’t t mowing.
It’s a shame to see this course fall to this. Decent. Layout and I am done playing there’. The tee boxes are awful and the fairways and first cut are a joke. The greens and the traps look the same on some holes. Good bye Cypress.
Great day
Great day playing Cypress with my beautiful wife..
Great layout
I'm not what is going on at Cypress it use to be one of the very best courses in the area, now it is a shell of its former self. The greens were redone 2yrs ago and now most of them are in worse shape than before they were redone. If management fixes the greens, then anything else wrong with the course is minor. The crazy thing is management was offering a membership that was at a fairly decent price and I missed getting it, now I'm glad I missed out.
I would still recommend you play the course, I haven't stopped playing there despite anything negative I said, the course has a great layout and it's a challenge, the first hole is deceiving in contrast to the rest of the course. Cypress is no pushover.
