Poor Pace of Play
Target golf, but could be a fun track. Nice greens. Pace of play was poor - 4:45 and for a course this short should be an hour less than that.
I will play again
Found the course challenging with smaller greens .. fun to play I will play again while I’m here
It’s Not A $100 Course.
For a number of years (30+) when visiting my family I would play Seronoa, and always enjoyed playing the course. Today I took two of my friends there and I was embarrassed.
The tee boxes, fairways and greens are pretty pitiful, and the pace of play was extremely frustrating. Why have rangers, if they don’t assist in the pace of play?
It’s just not a $100 course. It will be a long time before I return, if ever; and will NOT be recommending it.
Just not worth it
We’ve played multiple times this winter starting in January. The fairways are in terrible shape. There either is very little grass and they are either rock hard or mushy. The greens are hard as rocks and some have issues where they have had to be cut back and replaced with sod.
Pace of play is not good. But, when you put groups out every 7 minutes and then not enforce a decent pace of play what can you expect. Obviously they are trying bring in as many $$ as they can during the high season but it does not make for an enjoyable day.
Busy place…tee times every 7 min is too much ,
Conditions of fairways not good. If you hit 230yd plus drivers, you will need to leave it in your bag. Cannot see many of the hazards & they are in play with otherwise good shots.
Greens were a hot mess
The previous cup holes are dotted all over the greens. Players aren’t fixing divots. Tee boxes are unbalanced and rough. Not playing again.
Some tee boxes are a little beat up but greens were good.
Made good time on the front nine and made the turn to see they had sent out a single right in front of us and there was now a five-some (with 4 sets of clubs) in front of us also.
So, a slow back nine.
First Timer in Sarasota
Got paired up with 3 guys from the NE that now live in the area and had a great time. Only complaint is that the greens, although in great shape, were a little slow and took some time to get the speed.. enjoyed the layout of the back nine as opposed to the front and it helped having some local knowledge. I would play it again!
No Meal or Beverage for Golf Now Customers
Worse part of playing here is they refused to give me ticket for lunch because I made the reservation through Golf Now.
Great course
Lots of water. But don’t worry, layout makes very drivable. Enjoyed but did hit water 3x but all my fault.
Great day
Challenging and fun course, providing some opportunities to score, with some modest danger. The course was stacked full, but pace of play was okay. Also, nice to have a free beer at the end of the round.
