Great day on the course
First time on this course. Friendly staff . Condition was way above average. Play was steady but slow but not unreasonable.
Looking forward to playing there again
Nothing Special
Lots of water but reasonably wide fairways. Greens were rather slow and bumpy compared to others on area. Cart girl disappeared on back 9. Better choices in area for same price
Ideal when you can’t go elsewhere
Very affordable, and very nice staff, and fair condition, but could be considered “old” and a bit rundown. Typically choose to play here when other courses are unavailable, whether booked or lots of rain (this course drains well and will be open when others are closed
First time here and we were surprised. Such a nice course, great value for the hot deal price. Got on top of it 2 free drinks with our round. No wait time at any tee box.The greens were in good condition but not very fast but challenging because of the pin position. Perfect round for us! We will come back!
Great Day @ Serenoa
Everything about this course, the staff and the price I paid was very good.
The only negative was the pace of play as it was somewhat slow.
Another sunny day in Florida
Nice day on the golf course. Played with two guys from pa and had a good time. A little slow out there today but i guess that’s to be expected this time of the year. Good price ,good people ,good weather, what more can you ask for .
Poor management of course
Only one person to cope with receiving,cleaning and refilling gas to the buggies,Therefore did not have time to help
Load my Clubs into the buggy.
Not enough time elapsed between groups so much backing up of players leading to long waits between holes.
Course attendant did not seem to make any impact on slow players.
Greens too slow.Needed cutting & rolling.
Could be a great course with more investment in personel & course improvement.
Great layout/Awefull greens
I played the course today (1/3/19). Good layout, great staff, great (overseeded) fairways. The greens were terrible. The staff stated they leave the greens long because of the volume of players they get. I won’t be back to join those hoards. I’m a 7 handicap and have played all along the sun coast. Nobody else’s greens are this shaggy and unplayable. Too bad.
Good round
Course staffing both the pro shop and restaurant were very friendly and accommodating. The course layout is challenging. The course is in good shape but the greens are long and a little slow. I would recommend playing the course and I will return this season.

So glad to see that you enjoyed your round at Serenoa and that the staff (and the course) treated you well! Not a surprise - Serenoa Staff are a great group of dedicated folks and the course is a gem as well. The greens are now matured in - with nice green overseeding which allows us to enjoy great greens and lush fairways for the next 4-5 months. We lowered the height of cut today (1/4/18) and will lower them again within a week. Lower temps & humidity (soon headed our way) will help the process of making them smooth and consistently playable for several months. Thanks again.

This course needs a lot of work.
The greens were like putting on shag carpet and I got attacked by fire ants just standing off to the side of the tee boxes
Fivesome Allowed ????
We played Serenoa today and enjoyed our round. However notwithstanding we were very surprised that a 5 ( yes five players) were allowed to play in front of us which to be frank held up play for us and others.
We mentioned this to a Course Ranger who advised that they were regular players whatever that constitutes?
At 9th hole there is a sign saying that players cannot go to clubhouse for a drink / food. However, this fivesome did just that and despite us going directly to 10th tee in front of them they did not have courtesy to allow us ie a two ball to let us go in front of them. The fivesome held us up and others behind us.
We would sincerely question why a fivesome is allowed at Serenoa ?

Lack of customer friendliness

Pros:
- nice layout
- enough parking
- Voucher for Lunch and 1 Drink included
Cons:
- Course not in good condition
- Green were not mowed since two days and way too slow
- unplayable Bunkers like concrete with no sand
- Back from round (4pm) the vouchers could not be redeemed. Kitchen was closed since 3:30pm!
At the bar I asked for a glass of wine, as compensation of a softdrink and no Lunch but the guy at the bar denied categorically. I expected at least at check-in to be told, that it would be too late to redeem the voucher. so I had taken it on the cart. I wanted to talk to the manager, but he was already off at 3:30pm.These guys have absolutely no clue about customer friendliness. It's also kind of strange, that there was nobody with responsibility. So we walked away and we will never come back. We also will never recommend this course to anybody.
Great day
Played with a young couple and a older fellow like myself. Good to see the young people take a interest. Course was a little wet after all the rain but plush. Only play here in winter season and course was in great shape.
Golf and a drink
Place was in good shape. The back nine are more challeging en the lay-out in nicer. Probably established after the first nine, who are shorter and look older.
We payed 29 dollars with a hot deal. And became a drnk too. More than value for money.
Never again!
Had to wait ages for every shot. The whole course was jammed and the pace of play was the worst I have ever experienced.
There was a ranger going around, however he just said that we should expect slow play.
Shame as the weather was perfect!
The saying is so true, that you get what you pay for, and we paid a low price and due to the waiting time got a very slow and unenjoyable round.
Needless to say I certainly would not recommend this golf course - unless you like to wait 5 mins ifor every shot.
I'm eager to look into what the slow down was yesterday. Feel free to shoot an email to jwhittemore2000@gmail.com with the time you teed off. Once we figure out why it was slow, please allow us to replace your last experience with a better one.

Happy to see you were able to play Serenoa in the New Year. Yes the layout is fun, unique and challenging. On greens we do use the month of December to protect the newly grown in "overseed." It allows them to mature and gives us great conditions for the next 4-5 months by doing so. Today (1/4/18) we took the height of cut down on the greens to one step lower than you played yesterday. And we also take the height down at least twice more within the next week to 2 weeks I'm sure that for the next 4-5 months Serenoa will have great consistent greens - especially considering the lower temps & humidity (soon headed our way) combined with the lower heights of cut - that process makes the greens very smooth and very playable. Would look forward to seeing you again if you'll give us a chance to impress you.
