Bull Run Golf Club

I was really looking forward to playing here. Was disappointed by cold rudeness and overall demeanor of starter. Some staff were fine. They should at least try to fake it. Golf carts really smell like leaking oil/ uncombusted gas.

Round completed in 5:15. No Ranger or Staff on Course - we were met at the end of the front 9 - which took us 2:50 to complete. Quite frustrating as the group behind us were hitting into us the entire time. Between holes 4 &5 we counted 6 groups total. Unbelievable experience - don't know if I will be back, especially with the $107 cost.

Bull Run continues to be my fave course in NoVa. Great conditions and layout. A few bare spots here and there but with the July/Aug heat, that's to be expected. Given the conditions of the fairways and greens, Bull Run is worth the $$ right now.

Course was very wet but not unexpected after 4 inches of rain over the weekend. It was cart path only so I chose to walk. Fairways were decent but most of them need some work. All of the Fairways were mushy and many had several mud patches with no grass. The rough was very high and needed cutting. it was like US Open rough and very wet - impossible to get on the green from the rough. Greens were in decent shape, and surprisingly fast. Several greens had mud patches that need to be repaired. The course is usually in better condition. However, I'm sure all the rain the past few weeks contributed to the wet, patchy fairways and high, thick rough. Still a great course to play and challenging for all skill levels.

Inside the clubhouse peoples I’m not comfortable..I feel so bad

This course used to be worth the drive. The fairways are in pretty bad shape with a lot of bald spots, the rough is a mish mosh of maybe 5 different types of grass and so inconsistent. The greens for the most part were ok, but the fringe of the greens was balder than my father-in-law. I probably won't play here again this season. It's a shame, but it seems Raspberry golf management has really stopped prioritizing course maintenance.

Huge Wasps around the greens made it difficult to take your time to putt. I hope they take care of this problem

I was very disappointed in the current conditions of the course. The fairways were in good condition. Tee boxes ok. The ruff and fringe were in terrible condition. Several greens were in poor shape with many ground hornet nests on them and flying insects while putting. Poor rating

for the grounds keeper.

I wish the Club would have alerted guests to the conditions during the booking process. For the prices charged, this course is not a good value now. I hope they will improve as I gave enjoyed playing this layout for several years.

I have played Bull Run a bunch of times and love the course. Today was a bad experience. First off, after paying $97 dollars and asking if balls were on the range, we were given the choice to spend $5 more for a small bag of balls. Just charge me $100 and give me a bag! Then, on the first tee we were told that it's cart path only. No rain in a week, but they are worried about carts on the course for some reason (it was 95 degrees too).

THEN, on the 4th green we were met with swarming wasps (100's of them). We called and were told to ignore them, since they are ground wasps and not dangerous. We had already skipped that green, but these bugs were on every green for the rest of the round.

Hey Greenskeeper, how about you take of the bug problem and let us drive on the course? Also, why not tell us about the wasps when we paid, so we would not have skipped a green. I will be back, but today was my worst experience on Bull Run to date and I hope it was an anomaly.

It's obvious that they put more care into the golf course these days. Conditions were great from tee to green. The 18th hole can be a problem because it's a reachable par 5 and it took us almost 25 minutes to play the hole and finish. Otherwise fair but challenging course with nice range, chipping and putting areas.

Always wanted to play this course and glad I did. Some holes require course knowledge ( like double fairways) and greens were a bit tricky. Great experience!

I am a member of another local course and will be playing this one again. It’s worth the money!!!

I like this course. However, the day we played the pace of game was terrible. We had to wait almost every hole. There was no marshal to control the pace of playing.

Course is in great shape. Greens rolled true, fairways are wide and in very good condition. Will definitely be back if I can catch another deal. Great course.
