Stonewall Golf Club at Lake Manassas

Sunday afternoon round. pace of play yet terrible. took about 4:53 minutes to play 18 holes. Marshal at 3rd hole said it is Sunday and good weather and about 15 min behind. no urgency to keep up the pace. it ended up being almost 5 hrs. totally unacceptable. Love the course but will not be back for a while as pace is always slow not past few times we played

The greens looked like the surface of Earth’s moon - craters everywhere from unfixed ball marks. The greens were spotty, some places furry, others quasi bald. Fairways were not very good and hard to get a good lie. Disappointing to say the least.

I do not mind being in a good bunker every now and then but having five bunkers on every hole that are kind of hard dirt with some rocks in it is not the most pleasant experience. Nice course though there's three or four holes on the back nine that are gorgeous looking over lake Manassas.

The greens were covered with unfixed hallmarks, they were slow and fuzzy, the fairways were rough and hard to get a good lie on, and many bunkers had very little sand and were filled with footprints and unraked areas. Staff was very good and attentive.

As other have said, unrepaired ball marks cover almost every green. Rough around greens and collars are either bare or crabgrass. Tee boxes in rough shape, with barely any grass in the majority.

The day we played, it seems as if the greens hadn’t been mowed in a few days, extremely slow.

First time playing here. I'm guessing no one has fixed their ball marks on the green all season. Nor has the staff made any attempt to level them out. If you maintain a handicap, keep in mind that you're going to miss several putts that you would have made on a proper green.

The staff should hand out cheap divot tools with each group and tell them they're expected to repair their marks AND fill their divots on the boxes and fairways. It would help a ton.

I'm actually going back for the layout now that I've gained a little local knowledge. I'm just looking for GIRs on this course.

Great course with a great staff. Greens were in terrible shape with un-repaired ball marks. Seemed like most groups made zero effort to repair their ball marks or fix divots in the fairway.
