About
Named after the springs that snake through the layout, Delaware Springs Golf Course is a scenic links-style track that is one of the better values in Texas golf. The low prices and friendly service, combined with a picturesque and challenging golf course, make this a Hill Country favorite.
Architects Dave Axland and Dan Proctor built a natural-looking course that fits the terrain perfectly. The course is nestled into the rolling hills and oak trees along the Highland Lakes, playing 6,891 yards from the tips. During your round you’ll encounter lush fairways frequently loaded with bunkers, large greens that slope severely, and numerous bump and run shots. The designers added a few original touches, such as the descriptive Scottish names for each hole (the 18th is called "Hame" for the home hole).
Another interesting design twist involved placing the signature hole as the opener. Playing 504 yards to a par 5, no. 1 is best attacked with an iron into the left side of a sloping, tree-lined fairway. The creek cuts into the landing area, making it a testy tee shot. The second shot must bend around the dogleg to the left and over the creek, and the approach is into the green shaded by large trees on the right.

Got to get there
If you have not played Delaware springs lately…what are you waiting for? The golf course was in terrific condition. The greens had a thin layer of sand but it did not affect playability. Even though it was 100 degrees when I played it was a great rounf

Doesn’t disappoint
Been a while since playing here last. The course is in excellent shape. The greens are great rolling very true just slower than I remember or that anyone in the group recall

Slow play-could not get thru to pro shop-ruined our day
I am a regular here and bring people to the course a lot from my golf home in sun city. The course was in great shape however the pace of play was horrible,waited close to 5-6 minutes on vvery shot!!
Just a turtle crawl, I tried to call the pro shop 4 times to get a Marshall out and it was ridiculous,never got anyone who I could understand on the phone,the phone cut in and out,for heavens sake fix your phones.
As we came down 17 we finally saw the Marshall!! She was nice but said,” I m new at this but can see the groups a head are slow”
A lotta good that did us then.. just ruined what is usually a good time.
We went in to eat lunch and service there was slow too. Really dissatisfied and my guests were not happy either.

Golf course is always in great shape. I’ve been driving from Pflugerville to Delaware Springs since 2009. It’s just the Best place in my opinion around the area. Staff is always equal to the course “Great”

Great course-vibe wasn’t as good
Good stuff first: course conditions were excellent for the $. Greens were fast and true, fairways were very nice. Definitely more of a target golf course, slicers are going to have some problems for sure. The not so good:: played on Saturday morning first thing, apparently there was a mens tournament behind us the Marshalls were constantly around telling us to pick up the pace because the men in the tournament tend to complain. We were on pace, the group behind us didn’t have to wait on us at all. The feeling of being rushed made the day harder and more stressful than it had to be. We finished the round in 4 hrs 30 minutes. Also, the pro shop staff wasn’t friendly or welcoming. I don’t need a red carpet but a smile or some general info about the course would have been nice. Overall I would probably play there again but think the customer service could be better and stop rushing people, having a marshal pull up to the fringe while you’re putting to tell you to hurry up when nobody is behind you isn’t cool.
