Delaware Springs Golf Course
About
Named after the springs that snake through the layout, Delaware Springs Golf Course is a scenic links-style track that is one of the better values in Texas golf. The low prices and friendly service, combined with a picturesque and challenging golf course, make this a Hill Country favorite.
Architects Dave Axland and Dan Proctor built a natural-looking course that fits the terrain perfectly. The course is nestled into the rolling hills and oak trees along the Highland Lakes, playing 6,891 yards from the tips. During your round you’ll encounter lush fairways frequently loaded with bunkers, large greens that slope severely, and numerous bump and run shots. The designers added a few original touches, such as the descriptive Scottish names for each hole (the 18th is called "Hame" for the home hole).
Another interesting design twist involved placing the signature hole as the opener. Playing 504 yards to a par 5, no. 1 is best attacked with an iron into the left side of a sloping, tree-lined fairway. The creek cuts into the landing area, making it a testy tee shot. The second shot must bend around the dogleg to the left and over the creek, and the approach is into the green shaded by large trees on the right.

Never see one on course Photo submitted by mhughesgolf on 06/13/2015
The course was simply AWESOME. A little slow but that was OK. I understand I'm not the only one wanting to play a nice course in this part of Texas. I drove an hour to get there and can't wait to play it again. Staff was very friendly.
Love this course
I love this course. Have played it numerous times in the last few years. It is a 45-50 minute drive from my house in Cedar Park, but so is almost every other course I play in Austin. We play early, so it is not too crowded. The greens are fast and the fairways are well kept. There are no water hazards, but plenty of sand. The food is good, especially the hamburgers. And on Fridays (I think it is Fridays) they have delicious deviled eggs. We can usually get a Groupon or other discount green fee, but the regular fee is better than most for a course this quality. Just writing this review makes me want to go play it again. :)
labor day
2nd time playing there and was wonderful again. Staff was very friendly, pace of play was great, marshall on course but no problems. Great shape fun time. Worth the drive from San Antonio. But we were camping up at Inks Lake so we were right there this time. Can't wait for next round there
Slow again
While I truly enjoy this course, I despised the 5-domes they allow on the course. So get ready for a long afternoon if it is a pretty day....
Friday afternoon delight
Course was in great shape and fortunately no one else was out so we played in about 3 1/2 hours max. Hamburgers are excellent one of the main reasons we come to the course.
This Course has great featurs
I like this Course, i recomend it is The Best all arraund
Always reliable
Went to play before Hurricane Harvey reached the Austin area, so we choose to drive west to Burnet. Even though its an hr drive, I can always rely that the course will be in great conditions and the golfnow price makes it worth it. Tees and fairways were good. The greens had a little sand on them but it didn't influence the roll of the ball. We'll be back for sure.
#bestcourseincentraltx
Even with greens being recently punched they are better than most of the courses in Austin area. Certainly worth the drive from Pflugerville and always a great round at Delaware Springs in Burnet, Texas
Great staff
Staff alway finds us a tee time that will work playing with my 5 yo grandson, so we don't slow up anybody playing. They are great guys helping a young man get into the game.
Great Shape
The golf course is in great condition. The greens are the best in the Austin area. I will play this course again and again.
Good value casual atmosphere
I play here once a month at least. Fun course, has some challenging holes . The staff are a group of very friendly and accommodating folks. The food is really good. The only negative to the course is that play can be slow sometimes. No marshals to manage the course.
We had a great time, course in excellent condition!
Delaware Springs GC
Pleasantly surprised with this course. It is very well-maintained and you can't beat the price booking through GolfNow.com.
I live in Austin and traveling through this part of Hill Country, through Marble Falls is a nice drive.
The course is not long, no really difficult holes and hazards... the place is set in some beautiful natural surroundings.
If they stop 5somes, this place would be a solid 5
One of the best munis in central TX. My only pet peeve is the fivesomes they let play... slow play, of course sometimes you get the guys playing from the tip that can't reach the junior tee boxes...
