Delaware Springs Golf Course
About
Named after the springs that snake through the layout, Delaware Springs Golf Course is a scenic links-style track that is one of the better values in Texas golf. The low prices and friendly service, combined with a picturesque and challenging golf course, make this a Hill Country favorite.
Architects Dave Axland and Dan Proctor built a natural-looking course that fits the terrain perfectly. The course is nestled into the rolling hills and oak trees along the Highland Lakes, playing 6,891 yards from the tips. During your round you’ll encounter lush fairways frequently loaded with bunkers, large greens that slope severely, and numerous bump and run shots. The designers added a few original touches, such as the descriptive Scottish names for each hole (the 18th is called "Hame" for the home hole).
Another interesting design twist involved placing the signature hole as the opener. Playing 504 yards to a par 5, no. 1 is best attacked with an iron into the left side of a sloping, tree-lined fairway. The creek cuts into the landing area, making it a testy tee shot. The second shot must bend around the dogleg to the left and over the creek, and the approach is into the green shaded by large trees on the right.

Enjoyable round of golf
Always a great course to play. Bunker renovation detracted slightly, but always a great time.
Great Layout
This is a really nice golf course for the money. On this occasion, however, the greens were exceedingly fast. Of course, a golfer should be able to adjust to the speed. It’s a great out of of the city course and I highly recommend it it. Play it!!
STILL GOOD
this is one course that I try to play at least once a year. never been disappointed here after 20 years.
CDZ DElaware Review
Really like the course. The greens are smooth and fast and a real pleasure to putt. Staff at course are super.
Worth the trip
Great course, great hamburger, greens were really good. Doug and staff are top notch.
Delaware Springs Golf Course
A very well maintained golf course. Very good layout for amateurs. So much better than many semi-private courses that I have played. I enjoy the tranquility of the area. It is very relaxing and enjoyable to be there on a slow day. The staff is awesome, so helpful and friendly. The grounds crew was so conscious of staying away from golfers while still doing their job. Good job to everyone at Delaware Springs Golf Course in Burnet, Texas.
Doesn't Disappoint
I can always depend on having a good time at Delaware. It's a little bit of a drive from N. Austin, but the value is wirth it.
Hidden Texas gem
Love playing this little Texas gem. One of the areas best kept secret. Course was in great condition but more importantly the greens. Greens are usually in great shape, true, and fast. And, ya can't beat the price. Check it out!!
Delaware Springs Rocks!
Love this course!!! Awesome staff! And Marshalls! Greens are in great shape!!
This is The Best Course in Central Texas period. Best greens, layout, and staff by far. Well worth the drive from Pflugerville, Texas to play.

Always nice
This is my go to course.... always like playing the course, the only issue is don’t take a tee time close to lunch, locals play - sometimes a 5some!
Very Average Course
Reviews were so positive we were excited to play this course. It was swimming with golfers when we got there. Everyone having a great time. The restaurant area or club house was packed with happy diners so the food must be awesome. The golf on the other hand was very boring. Every hole the same as the last. Nothing memorable about this course. With so many choices in the hill country, I would definitely pass on this one unless it was so cheap to play you couldn't pass it up! Like I said lots of happy golfers there on the day we played just not our cup of tea.
Very Ho Hum
Course is in good shape just one hole after the other the same dang thing. Would not play here again because there are So many better choices in the area. Lots of people on this course loving the food and the layout. Not my cup of tea!
Great Layout
My wife and I have played this course about 5 times in the past year and really enjoy the layout and diversity of each hole. This is a true "country course" even though it's tucked into a subdivision. You get the true feeling of playing in a hill country course and don't see too many houses along the way.
The fairways and greens are always in good shape and, as stated, each hole has a distinct personally that challenges you to hit different clubs depending on your risk tolerance. I play to a 12 handicap but still manage to have rewarding rounds playing from the blue tees so the course is not overly tough for most weekend golfers.
We will definitely return.
Good option
Course is generally a hit the ball - find the ball - hit the ball again; however, wayward shots can still find some trouble, as i discovered again. Staff very courteous - even let us go out before our registered time to get ahead of several walkers. Greens in good shape and varied in size, and the larger ones were especially difficult to judge pace b/c we do not play the course regularly. Also some subtle breaks that fooled us. I still do not understand why the #18 handicap hole is a par 5 - not extremely long but not a piece of cake either. Pace seemed a little slow, but we were a twosome following a threesome. The best thing about this course - far and away - is that we can stop at the Bluebonnet Cafe in Marble Falls for a great meal and pie.
Challenging but fair
DSGC is a great small town municipal course. It's a great value for the money with friendly helpful staff and nice hill country scenery & wildlife.
Course very scenic and in great shape. Fun course to play.
