I have played this course many many times over the years. It has a great layout, but over the years i fill like it's going down hill. The greens are very slow and bumpy and there are several with patches on the green.

In general this is an interesting course. Lots of interesting and challenging shots to be played and some great sloping greens. Unfortunately they are rather slow. I guess if they were quicker many would find them to be too difficult. That's a shame IMHO. I also found some fairway lies to be a little less than fair. Otherwise he course is a worthwhile place to tee it up.

All in all it is good value for the money.

This course is not in ideal condition but it is good enough for the money and speed of play.

A crisp, reliable round of golf. Nothing too fancy, but always fun.

Having moved to Texas over a year ago, this was the first course that I played last year and it was in great condition. My brother and I figured we give this course another try. I must say that I was disappointed and will scratch this off my list. Tee boxes weren't flat, and weren't cut so the grass was thick like the rough. The fairways weren't cut and you were penalized for landing anywhere. The worst thing of all were the greens. Greens weren't cut, and had terrible rolling. Very disappointed in Lago Vista.

Everything was good exept for my score and lost a lot of balls.

Greens are in very poor condition. Looks like they were aerated but never managed after. Ball just bounced around on greens. Shot 77, but feel like I left 5 birdies on greens due to poor conditions of greens

gorgeous views with many deer on course. layout takes advantage of hills. course is fun to play but greens are not very good.

I have played this course 100 times in the past and have enjoyed it a great deal. However, since the new management took over, the course has not been maintained well and the conditions prove that. The greens were not in good shape and the mowers did a pitiful job leaving the fairways and greens in shoddy condition.

The layout and undulation was exactly what i was looking for when my son and i drove the extra distance into the hill country. Course was laid out nicely and the views were spectacular. Our issue was that the fairways were not mowed and the greens had been punched and sanded recently which made it considerably less enjoyable. It was a good value, but wished i had looked at previous comments about the greens. I would love to play this course again when the greens and fairways have been mowed.

Super staff, excellent burgers, pace of play under 3 hours, cost great, but the greens were unbelievably bad. Worst I have seen since playing out in a cornfield in Idaho. I would avoid playing here until that improves which may not occur until next year.

Lots of change in elevation. Greens good but not great. Tee boxes a little shaggy. Pretty open with very little water. Fun course to play and can't beat it for the price.

Being from Ft. Worth I have lots of quality golf course choices in the $40 price range. I guess I am spoiled. Let me start with the driving range. The area that was being used by others was down to the dirt but it was the only area you could actually see the bottom half of your ball. It looked like the teeing area had not been mowed in a week. As we moved out to the course conditions did not get any better. It was hard to tell the difference between the fairway and the rough as all the grass/weeds were anywhere from 2 - 4 inches tall. Once on the green the theme continued. The greens were very rough and filled with crabgrass. Some greens were better than others but the majority had the same crabgrass issue. Overall course conditions were poor. After the fact I found out that there are a number of other quality golf courses in the area that are a bit more expensive but I would recommend that you pay the extra money for a better experience.

course seems to be on the decline. It used to be in great shape. Now the tees are being taken over by St. Augustine and the greens are being taken over by crabgrass.Will not play again until the maintenance improves

I played this course a couple years ago and it was in great shape. The greens are very bad at this time and won't play the course again until greens make a big-time improvement.

My brother and I golfed here Sunday and were very pleasantly surprised and the fun and forgiving course layout (wide open), scenic views, and wonderful unusual holes. We really enjoyed it. We'll be back!

The course was very green. The greens rolled extremely true and they were very smooth. I liked how the ball sat up in the fairway but that is mostly because the fairways seemed to be St. Augustine grass so that was a little different. There were quite a few blind shots but everything was open and pretty straight forward so it wasn't too hard for a first timer. I started on hole one playing blue tees but switched to gold after the first hole. I hit several approach and sand wedges in to these greens given how short the course was. The distances are deceptive though so my rangefinder was handy. Great views and fun little course. It was pretty cool seeing all the deer out there. Lots of babies this time of year and they have no fear of humans. I bought a Gatorade and water before the round and it was only $3.50 so prices were good too.

Really enjoyed the course. Was hit by a monsoon so can't say this was the best way to review/experience a new course. Overall, however, very fair. Difficulty is all the hills and the sloping stances. But, the fairways are very receptive and lots of fun.

First time out. The course layout is what you pay for, great views ect... I wouldn't say it's in great condition but it is a good deal for under $30. Wouldn't pay more than $30 to play so I think the pricing is fair. Could be an amazing course if the kept the fairways up a bit better. Will be back for sure, but not dying to play again.
