Ravines Golf Club is southwest Michigan's first Arnold Palmer signature course. The course is situated three hours outside of Detroit in Saugatuck. Thanks to wide fairways and generous landing areas, the layout is not as tough as it seems but it does have plenty of challenges in store. Strategically placed bunkers, mature trees, and wetlands all come into play throughout. There are some challenging holes on the front half, including the sixth and seventh, but the back nine opens with the golf course's toughest hole. The ninth is a long and difficult par 5 dogleg left where trees, water, and bunkers come into play. Ravines Golf Club's signature hole, though, is the par-3 17th, known for both its scenery and level of difficulty. This hole requires a risky shot over a ravine to one of the golf course's largest putting surfaces.

Wow! Beautiful! Fun! Challenging!
Highly recommend if in area, loved it. Plays long but fair. Can't say enough good things about it.
Excellent condition
The course was in excellent shape when we played it. The fairways were like hitting off carpet and the greens were flawless. The course had a good layout and you have the opportunity to hit just about every club in your bag. Only negative was that the play was a tad slow, but we weren’t held up too much.

Challenging Course
The Ravines is a fun, challenging course. It is well maintained and the staff help make it an enjoyable experience .

Good playability even when soggy
After a couple of days of on and off rain, I played Ravines at 7:40 a.m. Conditions were wet though no standing water. Fairways and greens in excellent shape despite being wet (fairways are always soft; today more so than average). Hit a few fat as a result, but nevertheless pleased with the conditions. Fun layout and not excessively challenging (though plenty of challenge if playing from off the wide fairways). Overall, one of Western Michigan's finest! I would play this course regularly.

Great Course
Unfortunately it down poured during the morning so the course was still wet when I played. Despite that, the course was a ton of fun. Definitely one of the more challenging courses I have played. I can't wait to play it again next year after working on my game. So much fun, an absolute treat
