Eighteen at Bing Maloney Golf Course

Kudos to the new owners the course was in great shape!!!!

Course is a 9 hole Executive layout with 7 par 3's and 2 par 4's. The par threes range from 75 to 150 yards and the par four's were each about 260 yards. The greens are on the small side but are very challenging. They were fast and very smooth. That was the best part of the course. I truly believe that the greens on the Executive Course are more challenging than the greens on the regulation 18 hole course in the same development. Pace of play was great; I played two balls and still played in less than an hour. That was even with other people on the course and never needed to play through anyone. Would definitely play it again when I wanted to practice on my putting.

Holiday Friday...extremely busy. Great staff and fair pace of playbforbso many golfers. Greens were in better than expected condition. No bad spots and very playable. Staff was friendly and accommodating

This is not the course your lookin for if u want to do an all day golf trip. But what I really like about it is it's perfect for workin on ur short game and irons. Off the tee and out of conditions and putting. So its a great course if you know what you are looking for to practice certain parts of your game or for beginners who don't want to work up and down long fairways. Very fun for a walk and work on accuracy instead of power

I'm still a beginner. Started 1.25 years. Love Bing's extra wide fairways. Got my special practice price of $11 bucks. Completed my 18 holes in time before dark around 5:32 pm. Nice course, would recommend the perfect walking workout of 7200 yds.

even though the Sacramento weather has been very cold in the mornings for more than a month, the staff seemed to have no plan how to deal with the frost delay. we were delayed from our reserved start time by half an hour with a 1pm tee time. The course was very wet and sloppy despite a lack of rain. I've played this course under better circumstances and it was fine. I know they can do it they just need some work on their technique.

Course seems pretty average for the area. Everything was muddy but that was because it had just rained the night before.

Pretty average for an express 9...nothing special but I'd probably play again if I was looking for a short round.

The course was in very good shape, I was surprised. The greens rolled smoothly and the fairways were well maintained. The course is straight forward but there are many interesting holes, good layout and overall a good experience.

Just not a fan from the very beginning. The clubhouse never informed us that we were starting on hole 10, and he then seemed annoyed when he had to come tell us. They also made us wait til our actual tee time when it was wide open. But then they put a slow group of old timers in front of us. Just a bad deal.

There was very little course marshall presence. There were a few groups that could have been encouraged to pick up the pace. However, we were playing as a twosome. If we had been a foursome it likely would not have been as noticable.

A few of the tee boxes are uneven, muddy, and bad cut grass.

Years ago I swore to never return to Bing. The greens were horrible, and there wasn't enough grass to define the golf course. A friend of mine told me things had changed and I should try it again. I did and had forgotten how the mature trees defined most holes and came into play on many doglegs. The greens putted real well and the fairways were well defined. After the round I discovered the restaurant had senior specials, and I had a killer BLT for less than $5. All in all, the playability of the course has so dramatically improved that it was a great day with a friend, and I would now recommend this course to anyone. Nice job guys !

I live real close and its been to long since I had played this course, I used to play it alot back in the day and I would like to start up playing it more. I enjoyed the day it was a beautiful dayand my 2 buds came form the north area to play. We all shot the same score, it was great.The course was in great shape and was very fair.

The course is in the best shape I have seen it in a long time. The greens are good with a little speed on them. The fairways are in good shape. Several areas are being repaired or reseeded, come spring time the course will be very nice.

nice, playable layout with a few challenging holes. mature trees come into play. poor sand in traps.

in fall, winter and spring, the course is not well maintain. if you would like a practicing round, the price is ok. walking should be $12-14 instead of $22 after 12 noon for fall, winter, and spring since other courses are offering at the same price ($22). Those other courses are better maintained. practicing mat and balls for the range are worned out. Tony, Brian and the women who work there are really nice to talk to.

Though I am brand new to golf, I found Bing Maloney's Ex. 9 course fun, varied, and somewhat challenging. The staff so far are helpful, though perhaps not as inviting as I would have liked...of course, I mentioned that I am just beginning, and this is my first trip to Bing Maloney...hoping for at least some friendly advice, but it was here ya go...even a smile would have sent me out to the course feeling less intimidated by a brand new course and the very first one I went to by myself...that's my issue, I know. I played Friday afternoon, then Saturday morning, and the Ex. 9 is easy to navigate. I'll be back many times, and hope to play the 18!

It looks like Bing has some new Greens Keepers. The palce is getting better each time I have played in the last few months. Fairways are illed in and lking good, ruogh is well defined and long enough to keep your ball from running to the next fairway when hit off line. Greens are good and getting better and prety fast. That with the interesting design the Bing greens have always had makes a good challenge.
