Love it!
Cordova is the perfect example of a great course to teach and learn! It is also a great place to perfect yourself for other courses that are more challenging. Don’t get me wrong! This course has some great challenges and some really interesting holes to work on your game! I think it’s worth the time and effort and the money isn’t that much. Have fun!
First time
Course is simple layout making for an easy round, playing here is just playing against yourself. Plenty of room on the fairway just on you to land it there.
Pace of play
No Marshall at the turn, people stopped for break too long. All backed up starting hole #10

Road to Scratch
Cordova golf course is perfect for beginners. The whole golf course has wide fairways. The staff is friendly. The golf range is under maintenance for now but still you could practice at a decent price. For a single person with a card is usually 50 bucks or 45.

Too many beginners and they don't know golf etiquette.

Save your money
I went to enjoy a round on a Saturday and boy was this course a bad decision. They clearly don't manage the tee times or pace of play. I walked off after playing 9 but payed for 18. Was on pace for about 5 hours.

Ooooof!
Dry hard packed fairways with minimal grass. No marshal regulating pace of play. Tried to charge me $34 for a cart for me and my son when I only pay $17 when going solo. Place is a joke. I only go there when it's a last minute choice and for as cheap as possible.

Good Practice Course
Friendly Staff, easy course, many long par 3s, nice old trees, some lakes, some sprinklers were on at 11am on a Tuesday, some soggy spots on fairway, understandable since it's so hot, seems very walkable early morning. Cheapest 18 hole I've seen yet.

Overpriced for what the course offers and the available courses nearby for a fraction less.
This course was fun but the price is ridiculous. $37 for a full $18 and an extra $17 per person to ride the cart! Plenty of courses that are much better in both price and playability. I wish I never go back here again

Worst course ever for the price
Way too expensive for what this course is this is the place where I grew up learning how to play it used to be very reasonable and with a reasonable price you did not mind that it was crowded and not well-maintained but since they have raised their prices it is not worth it to play there. You can play anywhere else in Sacramento For five to $10 more per round well more worth.

Nothing fancy here, just a good local course
Discovered this course a couple of years ago on Golf Now, and have gone back several times since, despite it being a long drive (45 minutes ) from where I live. It’s a typical muni course, with typical good & bad points . The not-so-good : Course conditions can change literally hole to hole, some holes can be soggy, while others are bone-dry ; some holes have great grass coverage, others, not so much . The pace of play can vary widely, depending on the day & time of day, bunkers can also vary widely in condition. from just ok to semi-awful. But one thing I really like is that because it’s on the short side lengthwise, it’s walkable with a pull cart, as long as it’s not too hot outside. The pro shop staff are friendly, we’ve eaten at the sandwich shop a few times, it’s not bad, there is no drinking water available on the course, but there usually is a water cooler next to the driving range, and usually a friendly staff member drives around the course with a big water cooler , if you want a drink. The attached driving range is pretty big, but you often have to hit off of mats instead of grass.
So all in all, it’s a solid value, and a good walk, as long as you realize it’s a muni course, not an upscale country club !

Good value nice course.
It was a fun course. But despite near-100 degree temperatures, there were too many “soggy” sections of the course. That said, I’d definitely play there again.
