Nice place
Good staff, good course for rounding. You can practice before rounding, and the course quality is very good
They're trying
I've played this course a few times over the past 3 years. The price we paid was a "Hot Deal" which is worth it but I wouldn't play it again this year without the deal.
The good: The greens are in much better shape than they have been in the past. They were sanded which slowed the pace but were smooth and rolled fairly true. The pace of play was great. Played in 3 1/2 hours. Tees were in fair shape.
The bad: Fairways are dirt. Every once in a while you might find a tuff of grass but not often. The day we played they were punching the fairways. They didn't tells us that when we checked in. I would have expected te be told that before we payed on a good course but with nothing but dirt for fairways I guess they didn't think it would make a difference which in all honestly it didn't. At least they seem to be trying which is a big improvement fron the last couple of years.
Needs Grass
I enjoy playing this course, but there is NO GRASS. Won't be playing here again for a while.
Turkey Creek
Course Is in great condition and staff are very friendly!
Challenging
I am happy this course is available to the public. I play here a couple times per month and always enjoy my round. The greens are very nice presently. Some fairways are narrow which is a challenge for me as I spray the ball off the tee. The on site restaurant is very convenient with good food. Overall a nice course and pleasant experience. I recommend!
Great layout and condition!
The course was in great shape today! The best I’ve seen it look and play since it reopened. Keep up the great work!
I enjoyed the course layout .
The staff was very friendly and helpful
Tee time 10am rate of play good .By 130pm partner had Heat exhaustion. Had to leave.. greens are getting less bun spots.
Best public course in town
Turkey Creek has done a great job of coming back to life since being closed for a number of years, revived by the community property owners who worked hard to get it into shape, and now well-managed for the homeowners by a company that seems to be doing all the right things. The fairways are in pretty darned good shape and the greens are very well maintained. Restrooms are clean and well stocked. The 19th hole has a fine beer, burger and full bar. Turkey Creek is head and shoulder's above the only other fully public course in town, which is owned and poorly operated by the City of Gainesville.
Course is getting better
Heat and lack of water burned some greens But they are much improved. Concrete cart paths now around all tees and greens. 4 hrs now delays
