Aliante Golf Course
About
Gary Panks designed Aliante Golf Club to be player friendly rather than score crushing. It is supposed to be a Las Vegas golf version of Cheers.
Everyone may not know your name, but there is a huge practice facility, good clubhouse digs to kick back in and most of all a 7,022-yard layout that does not play nearly as fearsome as its 139-slope rating would indicate.
Which doesn't mean there isn't plenty of variety. With 54 bunkers, 14 bridges, four ponds and two waterfalls, about all Aliante is missing is a kitchen sink on a par 5.
"Aliante is a little out of the way, but it was well worth the trip," Todd Dewey wrote in TravelGolf.com. "It was a bit surreal to be playing in a picturesque setting in that part of town and the fast pace of play made it even more enjoyable. There was absolutely no waiting."

One of my go to courses
I play this course fairly often when in Vegas, even tough its a bit North. Staff is always friendly, course if very playable, greens are always super fast.
Seal
Course was in pretty good condition, but needed marshal to speed up play. We waited in every hole. Nearly didn’t get to finish the round.
Bargain golf
It is a good golf course, flat fairways and a nice layout. Greens were ok, the ball did hold the greens.
Better than advertised.
For December golf in Vegas, the greens were hard and fast. Best greens I've played in months. Fairways were great and it's a decent layout. I like the course.. just play the right tees. Got a great deal on gn, but local rate is still affordable.. just so many great golf choices in Vegas. But it's worth the drive.
Expansive layout, good course
The course stretches a long, winding way through a local development. That said, there's plenty of room for errant shots without disturbing the neighbors. I was wild off the tee and never came close to hitting any real estate. The few local homeowners I did see were friendly. Great layout, deep sand traps, and overall the course was in very good shape. Staff was very friendly, as were the 2 golfers I teamed up with.
Hidden gem!
This course is about a 30 min drive from the strip, but it’s worth it. The course is great! The staff is very attentive and helpful to you. I stupidly confused our tee time by a WHOLE day! The Pro Shop gentleman accommodated us and didn’t mention it my husband either. Still my secret. :-) Outside the pro shop the starter was so helpful gave insight on the course. Beautiful course. Plays well for all levels. Pace was good. Hidden gem! Definitely will plan to play there when in Las Vegas again!
Challenging
Excellent condition friendly staff challenging but fun
Excellent Day!
Course played very well, greens were in good shape!
Nice course, great people
The course is in great shape. Greens are good and fairways awesome. People at the course were a big help.
good time
course was in really good shape, greens were not too fast or slow and were in good condition.
Great Day
Our first day in Vegas. This was a great course. Not to tough and not too easy. I just have no idea how to play the rough. Lol.
Great sand traps
Course was in good shape and sand traps had good sand in them no rocks and soft reallly enjoyed the course.
Beautiful layout, nice condition
The layout plays to most skill levels. Lots of nice grass, great fairways, traps are nice, greens are super slow they will be great in two to three months. Friendly staff. Some long par 4s.
I would play it again for sure.
Aliante
Just terrible pace. Waited on every shot. Place is totally mis managed
Mixed feelings
The greens were simply god awful. If you are a purist, stay away from this course until mid-October. If you are resident and paying $30 after 1 pm, that appears to be over-priced. It should be more like $15 given the current substandard condition of the greens. A staff member told us that they are gearing up for re-seeding in September. The practice greens were just as bad or worse. This seems to be a recurring disaster every summer. On the other hand, the Bermuda fairways and roughs were in great shape. In some spots, the rough was very punishing. I don't see why they cannot maintain greens like the courses in Palm Springs do. The staff was friendly. One big positive is that our two-some got through playing a round in 2.5 hours. On Wednesdays, however, there is a 5-some from the men's club that tees off around 11:30. Don't go after that group.
Mixed feelings
The greens are god awful. They are letting them go in preparation for re-seeding in September, we were told by a staff member. Poor residents pay $30 after 1:00 pm, the lowest rate available. $15 is more appropriate compared to what other courses charge during summer months. The same poor maintenance observed on the practice greens. Fairways and rough are quite good on the other hand. Carts are decent but no GPS. BYO. Staff is friendly. One other positive is that we (2 -some) played a round in about 2.5 hours. The heat is keeping the golf population down. So you can play fast unless you get stuck behind a 5-some from the men’s club. Avoid Wednesdays.
worth the visit
The staff was friendly and welcoming. The fairways were in excellent condition, mowed and well groomed.
The greens were recently aerated, so they were receptive but slow. They appear to be coming along well. My friends and I will play this course again.
Course Undergoing Maintenance (I hope)
The course appears to be undergoing maintenance. Both the fairways and greens appear to have been punched. Thus the greens wee slow and bumpy. There seemed to be more dirt on the greens than grass. Hopefully this will improve in a few weeks. I am not happy that they charged full price with the course in this condition.
