Aliante Golf Course
About
Gary Panks designed Aliante Golf Club to be player friendly rather than score crushing. It is supposed to be a Las Vegas golf version of Cheers.
Everyone may not know your name, but there is a huge practice facility, good clubhouse digs to kick back in and most of all a 7,022-yard layout that does not play nearly as fearsome as its 139-slope rating would indicate.
Which doesn't mean there isn't plenty of variety. With 54 bunkers, 14 bridges, four ponds and two waterfalls, about all Aliante is missing is a kitchen sink on a par 5.
"Aliante is a little out of the way, but it was well worth the trip," Todd Dewey wrote in TravelGolf.com. "It was a bit surreal to be playing in a picturesque setting in that part of town and the fast pace of play made it even more enjoyable. There was absolutely no waiting."

Nice desert course!
It was very nice playing Aliante... for 45 bucks it’s was a great deal also!
Spacious
Lots of space between holes no handicap provisions.
Plays well, lots of walking to the greens. When the Bermuda grass comes in it will be a beautiful course.
Late Winter /Early Spring conditions
I'm an amateur golfer, not a professional reviewer so....
The winter grasses were still in play and the rough was dormant for my round. (March 22, 2019)
The greens had good speed and rolled decent but the winter grasses and the rocks from the bunkers caused putting issues. Besides removing the pebbles and the winter grasses the greens were good, my favorite part.
Fairways were good but chipping was tough with tight lies from the dorment grass.
Bunkers were consistant for what I could tell.
Greens were consistently firm but receptive.
I didnt have time for the practice facilities but range seemed good and practice green was good enough.
Good course layout.
Aliante is an above average golf course for the Las Vegas area. Too many horrible golfers upset the pace of play but don't let that detract from the course itself.
Easy to Play
The location is easy to find and just near the highway, the golf course is well kept and maintained not very difficult to play no long distance to carry between the tee boxes and the fairways. Not too many hazards though lots of rocks if you run out of the fairways.
No grass
Poor conditions, no grass on the fairways, sloped away. Tee boxes were poor, no grass as well. Fairways hard as rock, couldn't take a divot. Bunkers full of rocks. Greens were average at best.
Very sparse, hard fairways
Glad we got a deal because regular price would not have been worth it . . .
Fairways were very hard with not a lot of grass.
Tee boxes were very hard as well.
Very difficult to hold the fairway on good shots because of sparse grass and natural slope towards the non-existent rough. If off the fairway, you were often playing on bare ground.
Lots of rocks in the sand, which meant lots of rocks on the fairly receptive greens. Greens got better after the first 5 or 6.
perfect
A golf course is placed under the mountains, beautiful view. Staff very polite, calm. Clubhouse service excellent.
The quality of the course is very good.
Decent Residential Course
Played here on a Saturday, weather was windy with a little rain. Course condition was OK for the winter, meaning fast and firm fairways and greens. No beverage service on the day. Decent value for the price.
Course layout was great. Staff were friendly and pace of play was great. The greens could've been in slightly better shape and there could be less rocks in the bunkers but this is probably being nitpicky. We enjoyed our round and would play again.
Nice Course
The course had nice tee selections since my girlfriend and I were golfing together.
A Course Worth Playing
Teamed up with a local who hadn't played it before and a husband & wife from Chico, not far from me. The course was in pretty good shape, they had overseeded the fairways which was excellent. The greens were in great shape, ran pretty quick but fair. The 2 sand traps I was in had sand, a plus. We played at a pretty good pace, I think we finished in 4 hours and 15 minutes. The company was great which made for a very nice round of golf. The 19th hole had nice drinks, not too expensive and I had a breakfast burrito which could serve two people, it was great. The course has some nice views and I think anyone can play this course. The course starter gave us a lot of info before we started and it did help, kudos. Next time I am in Vegas I will play here again. I might add that I always use golfnow and try and get the hot deals because you will normally pay 40 or 50 percent more than the locals. Not fair but it is what it is. I personally think that they lose business by doing this, just my thoughts.
One of my go to courses
I play this course fairly often when in Vegas, even tough its a bit North. Staff is always friendly, course if very playable, greens are always super fast.
