Aliante Golf Course
About
Gary Panks designed Aliante Golf Club to be player friendly rather than score crushing. It is supposed to be a Las Vegas golf version of Cheers.
Everyone may not know your name, but there is a huge practice facility, good clubhouse digs to kick back in and most of all a 7,022-yard layout that does not play nearly as fearsome as its 139-slope rating would indicate.
Which doesn't mean there isn't plenty of variety. With 54 bunkers, 14 bridges, four ponds and two waterfalls, about all Aliante is missing is a kitchen sink on a par 5.
"Aliante is a little out of the way, but it was well worth the trip," Todd Dewey wrote in TravelGolf.com. "It was a bit surreal to be playing in a picturesque setting in that part of town and the fast pace of play made it even more enjoyable. There was absolutely no waiting."

poorest condition in las vegas
This is a great layout. Unless you hit it a long way, don't even think about playing from the tips. There are two professional length par 4s (#2 and #12) that are really too long for most amateurs. Although the course design is great, it currently is in the worst condition I have ever seen it. The greens are terrible, hard as a rock with patches of dirt showing through. The bunkers are all terrible and need new sand. I blame this on Troon Golf which is the management company. They're so eager to make money that they have let the condition of this beautiful golf course slide. Typically in Las Vegas, the summer heat takes its toll on golf courses. However, I play at different courses throughout the summer and have never seen one in this poor condition.
Slow play and narrow fairways
I'm used to slow play on the weekends in Vegas but 5 1/2 hour round in 100 degree heat! Marshall was driving around but did nothing to improve pace. Waited on every hole and every shot. Really wears on you and your game.
The fairways are quite narrow and lined with houses. Not a lot of room for an intermediate player (17 hdcp) like me. Pin placements were also tough and tucked away all day... it was Sunday though.
Long drive to North Las Vegas.
Rate was great ($28) but won't be playing again anytime soon.
Really great course to play
Loved playing 18 here. My group and I had a great pace of play and enjoyed the course from start to finish. I'll play here again when I come back.
great course and staff
The course was in great shape and the staff was awesome.
This course has a great lay out
I would definitely recommend this course to my golfing buddy's . It's a little bit far from the strip, but worth the drive. The staff was very courteous and attentive. The course is in great condition. I will play here again next time I visit Vegas!
Great course
I'm lucky to live close to this course. I've played several times now and enjoyed them all. I could not beat the price. First time using golfnow.com, but won't be the last.
Great value
This course is great value for any level of player. Staff were particularly accommodating and friendly.
My Home Course
I don't have a lot of golfing under my belt, but this course suits my ability as well as will provide the ability to improve.
Nice layout!
Enjoyed the course! The greens had been punched the day before but they were not bad at all! The fairways were beautiful. The staff were very friendly!
Good time
The course was challenging and very hard. the shots carried a long way and it was very difficult to hold the greens. Putts were fast but they were fairly easy to read.
Husband's first time out!
Took my husband out for his first round of 9 holes of golf. I thought it was a great place to play for a first timer. Went out around 3pm. Took our time. Didn't feel rushed. Pretty open fairways. We had a great time.
Aliante Golf Club
The staff is friendly. The greens were not as we expected and need some work and attention. We also found some sand bunkers that weren't in great shape and very firm instead of soft.
Good layout poor conditions
Ruff was like concrete. Greens have two types of grass which made putting a challenge as some patches were longer. There was little or no sand on bunkers and they are deep. We got a good price, thank goodness because this course is not worth the full pop. But it could be.
This course has potential to be better
Played several courses in Las Vegas during my visit and this one is one I won't go back to.
- Nobody attending the bag drop site
- cart was included with the price but you had to share the cart, did not mind until the person behind the counter made the comment "we don't have tons of carts to check out".
- range balls were included in the on-line price, but the staff questioned, the did handed me a SMALL bucket.
- my t time was for 1:50, arrived at 1:10 and wanted to warm up a few minutes. Starters wanted me to start right away as they were pairing people as the arrived and send them out. I told them I could not do that, I gotten injured a couple of times not warming up first (over 50). Staff not too happy about that.
- Homes are extremely close to the course.
Never seen a course like this anywhere.
- pace of play was so slow that the 3 other people I paired with left after 9 holes. Additionally, two other folks I joined on the back 9 left after 6 holes because the pace was so slow.
- It was a vary pleasant surprise at the end to be asked by the cart barn attendat if I wanted to drive to my car to drop off my clubs. He cleaned them all & load them in my car. Very courteous, thanks.
Great golf experience
Jim and Chris do a great job the course was in great condition like always and the pace of play was right at 4 hours awesome practice area and the bar is top notch best deal going
Nice track.
Everything I expected from reviews. Worth the drive. Softest sand I have hit out of in a long time. Next trip to Vegas will try again.
Aliante Golf
Second time playing here and staff was again great. Course was in good shape. Good value and great local casino near by.
Flat course but was enjoyed our day.
Nothing special but enjoyed playing there
Was a good price on golf now.com
Most greens were good, a few had bald spots
Bunkers were very poor. Crushed gravel and very little of it.
Fun course to play.
Aliante has a nice blend of holes some more challenging than others. A bit of a drive for some but well worth the trip!
Not a lot of character, but OK
Greens and fairways in good shape. Just not a lot of "desert" experience with this course.
