Harmony Golf Preserve

This course was seeded early grass was coming in and it played superbly. Greens were a bit slow so they held the ball.

My tee time was at noon and finished 18 at 3 p.m.

Having played this course many times I looked forward to its unique layout and serene atmosphere. Sadly they have lost their tee boxes and fairways. It was truly tragic. A combo of weeds, bare dirt along with grass sick with a fungal disease.

I fear that if they don’t put time, work and money into this once incredible course it will be lost.

I first played Harmony ~2 years ago. I fell in love with it for the layout, condition, friendly staff, relative seclusion… but over the last 2 years, the course conditions have deteriorated drastically. I can’t understand how a course would allow their fairways and tee boxes to become so patchy. There are countless, large spots of bare dirt throughout most of their fairways. Reminds me of a poorly maintained municipal course. The greens are all fine. No complaints there. And the staff are as nice as ever. The bar and food are still great.

But the club should really commit some serious time and effort to repairing the damaged fairways. I would not recommend the course right now.

Also, of note: the pictures they show on their website with the sprawling, beautiful sand bunkers lining the sides of the holes… that design has been gone for many years now. Those have been allowed to become overgrown by grass… not nearly as beautiful.

It just feels like the owner/management of the course was not committed to the original idea/ concept of the course. It’s a shame. It could be such a gem!

Was hoping the course had improved since the last time I played….nope. Would not play this course again even if they paid me to play. Absolute garbage.

This course has been good for many years unfortunately they had problems with the fairways but they are working hard on them. It's going to come back but it is going to take many months. I do agree that the price is too high for the conditions of the fairways. $ 50 will be a good price. Meanwhile is playable, just play lift, clean and replace , you will find a good spot around the problem areas. The greens are in good shape

The entire front 9 has, maybe, 2 or 3 spots where about a 10 yard circle has an issue in the fairway. The front 9 is in great shape. The back 9 is where fairway issues present. But other reviewers would have you believe that every fairway and all.of every fairway is just dirt. This is FAR from the case. 11, 13, 14, and 16 have issues in the fairway. But even those holes, there are 2 or 3 spots about where about a 15 yard circle is in bad shape in each fairway. The worst is probably 14. That's a par 5 and the layup shot will land in a bad patch. Every other hole with fairway issues has spots nearby where you can move your ball to good grass, literally walk about 15 paces to good grass.

Talked to the pros and the issues stem from them not managing weeds well during covid last year. They've zapped the weeds in the fairways ahead of the winter overseed they plan to start in 2 weeks.

The greens....very, very good. 2 greens have a small issue...front 1/4 of 9 has some crab grass and 16 green is just a tiny bit less consistent in overall quality compared to the other greens. But the greens are FANTASTIC. You're mak9ng a mistake to not play this course because of 4 fairways having a couple bad spots.

I haven’t played Harmony in about a year and it was in good shape back then. Today was not what I expected, The fairways have large areas with bare spots, had to move my ball a few times to find some grass. The tees are in just as bad shape with bare spots, greens are in good shape, a little on the soft side but had some speed to them. No problems with the staff, all were very friendly. Little pricey for the shape of the course….

A couple of friends of mine came up from Lauderdale and we wanted to play Harmony, my friend never played this course. We were so disappointed, first the driving range was cut so low it looked like dirt, and the fact it never has been watered. There was no sand to fill divots nothing. the practice green was surrounded by bare dirt with no grass coming to the fringe. The course has a couple of cool holes, some challenging water and dog legs but we never expected what we found. From tee to green bare spots and wash outs that look like the course attempted to fix but failed miserably , they never added sod and looks like they are washing out again!. This course is in the absolute worst condition possible, the management should be fired for what they have done to this course. This is pure neglect! This is terrible, I have played here for 5 years and I have never seen anything like this before..

Back nine almost unplayable. Tee boxes are in a little better shape than a few weeks ago. However the fairways are just HORRIBLE.... if you can call dirt, no grass a fairway! If your tee shot lands in the middle of the "fairway" does not mean you will not be playing from hardpan dirt or dirt so chewed up by the sandhill cranes its similar to playing a sand shot.

Until these issues are address and corrected I would highly recommend playing another course. So sad as this was once a fantastic track!!

I play this course usually once a month but had not played since July.

The recent reviews had me a bit concerned as it was in pretty good shape in July.

The greens are in very good shape, There are some t-boxes where the grass is sparse but it was clear they are being worked on. In regards to the conditions of the fairways, particularly the back 9 while there are bad spots or sections due to damage by the various wildlife, when my ball landed in any of those areas i treated it like "ground under repair" and moved the ball to one side or the other. I did not experience any fairway that was unplayable, and only had to move my ball two or three times. Harmony is one of the more expensive courses I play in my rotation, but today's experience would not influence me to remove it from my course list.

No one on the course so that aspect is nice, and greens are in great shape. But 65$ for the fairways and tee boxes which are in horrendous shape and summer prices is insane! Not sure how they haven't implemented 50%+ off due to conditions...hopefully they can recover the course as its a fun track to play.

Fairways & tee boxes are mostly dirt. Good drive down the middle and your ball is sitting in loose dirt, second shot is like hitting from a bunker unless you give yourself relief. Back nine is almost unplayable. Greens are the best thing about this course, in pretty good shape! The rest of the course is just horrible. Do not waste your $. You can play other courses in better shape for less money.

Love this course but it’s not in good shape, some fairways Have NO grass at all tee boxes are also in bad shape

If you don’t get a hot deal on golf now don’t wast your money

This once great track is now a cow field with nice greens. The fairways are bare in large patches. Landing a ball in the fairway and it will not roll. It can't because it's covered in mud.

Nice greens, once you get the ball up there.

Well, the greens are great. Is you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all my mom would say.

So, at Harmony Golf Preserve...Well kept greens make for good putting.

What happened to this beautiful track otherwise? Muddy, barren fairways in which good drives stop short are the standard. Sand traps with no racks abound.

Frankly, it's a maintenance nightmare. If not for this, it would tick all the boxes, and that was my previous experiences here. Now, well, it's just a mess.

Course fairways are in horrible condition. Tee boxes have patchy grass. Greens are the only area of this course in decent shape.

Greens are the best thing on the course. Tee boxes are horrendous, no grass. uneven pits and sand. Fairways are absolutely horrible with dirt/sand areas throughout, so NO roll on tee or long fairway shots.

Recommendation - until conditions drastically change, DO NOT WASTE YOUR $$

As always staff was quite friendly. Advised that the local cranes worked the course over digging for bugs.

Great layout. With lots of rain in the area, expected lots of greenery. The cranes really have worked the course though. Many bald spots on fairways and other treated areas. I'm sure they're getting ready for snowbird season, but course was in pretty rough shape.

Tee box fair; fairways left some to be desired; greens in good condition with true reads and smooth surface.

Will be back, but likely closer to cooler weather temps.
