Aerated greens/inconsistent sandtraps

All the greens were in varying stages of aeration making it difficult to play breaks, judge speed for putting and chipping. Sand trap conditions varied from thin sand with hard base , to soft thick volcanic colored sand. Not worth the price in this courses current condition. Tee boxes were also in rough condition. .

Sad

After being on the course for 4 hours and still 4 holes to play we all called it a day. The saddest part is the marshal told at the cart drop off that there is nothing he can do! I have never left in the middle of a round but we had a 45 minute gab between us and the group behind us at they caught up by the 9th hole. I can't believe I paid $130 for this crap. The dumbest thing is the stupid GPS systems telling us we are behind schedule as we wait hole after hole after hole on the groups in front of us.

Great course but expensive and difficult

Course was immaculate but a bit over our head from a difficulty perspective. Glad we got to play but will save money and play an easier course next time.

Saturday Round

I want to start this with saying that it was a beautiful Saturday so I expected the course to be slammed, which it was. The staff couldn’t have been any nicer. I have zero complaints in that department. The course has always been over played in my opinion which causes it to seem rough sometimes around the greens. I just do not think this course is anywhere near $120 course. We rolled through the front nine at a decent pace but came to a screeching halt on the back mince and had several holes where there were numerous groups waiting on a tee box to play a hole. We ended up skipping three holes and it still took us 4 hours. I think for the money, you should probably go explore other options.

Great facility and fun yet challenging course layout!

What a great facility, a practice area set up like a pro tournament. Fun layout, no boring holes. You will play it better your 2nd time. Shot choices matter. Some pistagecstamp greens. Very true roll.

Winter golf in Atlanta, just be prepared

Playing winter golf in Atlanta always has some considerations. It was 28 degrees when I arrived at the course and it didn't look like there was anybody else there. When I checked in, they told me there were only 10 people booked to play. I was booked with another twosome as a single, but I asked if I could go out early. 20 swings on the Range and a few putts on the putting green, and I headed out.

Conditions are typical for winter golf in the north Georgia mountains. The fairways were firm and fast, but the greens were really receptive and in great shape. I have played Bear's Best in Las Vegas many times but this was my first time at the Atlanta course. Playing Legacy holes, some of which I had played, was a true treat. And having no one in front or behind made the day fully enjoyable. Got around in 3 hours, and had a great time.

I can't say enough about the assistant Pro in the golf shop. Because of the low turnout expected, there was no one working the grill. Instead, he brewed me a cup of coffee and we got a couple of Snickers bars out of the snack drawer. Would highly recommend anyone to play here, and I look forward to playing it again in the future!

Don’t waste your money here, audacious rate for the course to charge.

Course drains absolutely awful. If there is any rain within a week of your tee time, the range will be closed lol. Feel like a child not being able to have a cart key until your tee time. This is a prime example of another property that hit its fastball in 2005 and now has gone to garbage. I wouldn’t spend $50 to play here and they have the audacity to charge $120 not including range balls. This is an embarrassing golf establishment.

Nice day at BB!

One foursome in front of us and no one else in sight. Wish they would have let us play through or had someone / ranger observing. We would have had a sub 4 hour round which would have been excellent. A little pricey to pay for range balls with a high greens fee but overall a great day at a nice course with nice staff. Greens were excellent, especially for February.
