Could be nice
First, we had a frost delay and the staff handled it very well. They gave me a courtesy call to let me know we would be teeing off about an hour late which is very much appreciated.
Other than that this course always leaves me underwhelmed.
Bunkers were unplayable (constant feature over the years)
Attention to detail that One would expect from this course at the $100 plus green fees was minimal. This course could be great, they just seem not to care if it is.
Probably won’t be back for some time.

Beautiful course, SLOW play
Bear's Best has always been one of my favorite courses north of Atlanta. Unfortunately, my recent visit makes me hesitant to return. The bar, grill, and restrooms were all closed due to water damage from the recent frigid temperatures. Although inconvenient, I completely understand the situation. Speaking of golf, tee times were running 10-15 minutes behind with 3 groups on #1 tee at our scheduled time. Fairways and tee boxes were not overseed with rye as I have seen in past years. Pace of play was horrible (4:50 for 18 holes). Ranger was not interested in asking groups to maintain pace.

Great course
I played this course for the first time and I was impressed. There was a bunch of rain this week and the course seemed to take it well. I definitely plan on playing again.

Bear's Best Round
Course was in really good shape with greens really nice and quick. We picked a sunny day that was cool with slight wind so a near perfect day on a nicely maintained course.

Super Fun Layout
Had a great time playing this course for the first time. I was a single and upon arriving about 45 minutes before my tee time I was given the green light to go out early by the friendly clubhouse staff, which was much appreciated. The course is a super fun layout and is manageable for golfers of all skill levels. The cart girl was very nice but only had chips and crackers for food - no hot dogs or sandwiches. As the turn isn't near the clubhouse this was a little surprising. All said, I would definitely recommend giving Bear's Best Atlanta a shot.

Great Day
Played as a single. Paired with two other singles. One a great guy, the other (a member)...yakked the WHOLE time (even when we were over putts). Whined about every bad shot (there were lots). Fixated on his lost six iron head cover (iron head covers?) Complained that his 'friends' would tend the pin for him...? (Reminded him that his 'friends' weren't here). Gave LOTS of unsolicited advice (BTW - he was the group's 'D' player, even though we were only a threesome.) Oh...and then his back started acting up and he quit after 12 holes!!!!! All in all though a great day, actually fun...and funny! Get real folks, It's about having a fun day and not taking yourself so seriously. Love Bears Best!

Always great at Bears Best
Bears Best is always in great condition and it was no exception on the day. It was cart path only for the first 9 holes because they had just seeded the fairways for winter. Pace of play on the back nine was pretty slow on the day

Bunkers nightmare
Please ranks bunkers especially No 11. Thin sand on concrete. CNt hit a thing out of that. It’s a tough hole already don’t make it worse

Pace was a bit slow for Thursday twilight round . Wasn't able to finish 18 holes teeing off at 4:30pm. Course was in good shape except for greens still recovering from aeration and the sand traps being just in ok condition.
