Bear's Best Atlanta

Overall. excellent local course we can have in our area.
I love to play this course anytime for the money I paid.

Decent green fee for Sunday afternoon. Took close to 5 hours based on the group in front but a beautiful day none the less

I played the course in the middle of November, and for that time of year, it was in really good condition. Good speed of play, but it was a weekday as well. A little off the beaten path for those traveling to Atlanta, but well worth going out to play.

We had a tee time before 1:00 pm.We started 15min late. We did not finish. we only played 17 holes and finished 17 in the dark. There was no one on the course to control or monitor play. I felt like we were packed on to the course. I would expect this on a low priced course, but not on a course that demands a premium price.

I enjoyed the course layout and there are some nice holes but the fact that it took over 5 hours to only play 15 holes really turned me off to this place. There was no marshall on the course either to help the pace of play either.

The course conditions were pretty good, the greens were a little beat up from a big tournament earlier in the day, but the practice facility is top notch.

This place was not cheap and its not a great value. Greens were in poor shape. Layout is cool, but not worth the money.

This course was superbly maintained and the staff was equally friendly and helpful without being obnoxiously pushy in trying to clean my clubs as soon as I got off the 18th green. The setting is breathtaking in the fall with the foliage at its near best and the many deer scattered about. The lack of homes pushed up along the out of bounds lines is so visually pleasing that you feel you are away on a retreat instead of in a beautiful gated community of homes.

Bear's Best Atlanta provides 18 attractive and challenging holes. The course, facilities and service fall short of the typical $100 plus prime time greens fee. While the staff pushes the importance of a 4 hour round on the 1st tee box, there is little evidence that any effort is made to police play in order to achieve a 4 hour round. The fairways are well maintained, but the course is not presented in manicure condition. On this day of play, the bunkers had not been groomed and were in poor playing condition. The greens were quite soft and very long for this time of year.

Tough course, but fair. Didn't play well tee to green and couldn't buy a putt.

We may have just caught them on a bad day but it was really slow. The ranger came by and apologized. The course was in great shape and everyone was very friendly. There are some challenging holes, but its mostly the pin placement that makes it hard.

Bear's best is one of the best courses in Atlanta.

The staff was great. They had a tourney that day and provided options even though they were busy, They really went out of their way to accomodate me.

Lots of fun, but greens not in good shape, cool course, signature holes from famous courses, not too difficult overall.

I like the layout and condition of this course. It's a bit pricey but good course to play.

Greens were in bad shape. The greens got aerated the day before, not one person told us this information and still charged $65.00 per person to play on aerated greens

Booked using Promo Code ONEFREE so got half off my tee time. There was a tournament going on which i was not aware of and our round took over 5 hours.

The best thing about this course is the greens. These are by far the most pristine true rolling greens I have ever played. They are very receptive as well. There is plenty about this course to rave about. The daily fee of $99-$114 is steep. I paid around $50 on a weekend thru GolfNow and it was worth every penny. I certainly will be coming back!

Nice Course was in good shape deinitely in better condition than most semi private courses.
