Eaglewood Resort & Spa
About
Located just northwest of Chicago, the Eaglewood Resort & Spa opened for play in 1932. It is a classic championship golf course, built during a time when the long drive was unheard of. The 6,017-yard layout seems short by today's standards, but the course still offers a formidable challenge. It features rolling fairways lined with century-old oak trees and wildly undulating, difficult-to-read greens with varying speeds that fluctuate depending on the weather, season, and even time of day. There are generous landing areas but they are bordered by deep, strategically placed bunkers that are just waiting to swallow even slightly errant shots. The carefully sculpted and plentiful bunkers are a prominent feature of the layout. Eaglewood's scenic landscape also has three lakes that come into play on eight holes.

Good Course Well run.
End of season fall play so lots of leaves in some areas. Greens and Tee boxes in good condition for time of year. A challenging with grass cut low enough so you will find your ball most times if you hit out of the fairway. Carts and paths in good shape, pace for a Sunday was really good. Only thing missing is a little spot for food, snacks, coffee or beverages when starting or making the turn. Or grabbing a beverage afterwards.
Fun and interesting course
Fairly short course [3000yds from the tips], but tight fairways, elevation changes and trees everywhere make this seemingly 'easy' course fun and interesting and occasionally challenging. Greens are challenging too with some tricky pin placements on unforgiving slopes. Can often play here for under $40; get a hot deal and/or use one of your golf pass coupons [as I did] and you can play for under $20! Great when I want to get out and get a round in to work on some stuff while testing my putting.
Course in GREAT shape
I asked the starter why the 90 degree rule, since we have not received a lot of rain...he said they always have that in effect. I really makes a difference. Greens were in great shape despite some idiot golfers not repairing their ball marks. But they greens putted very true. Sand traps are dirt, not sand...which is normal in Illinois (I am from Florida). The layout per hole is great...especially with the hills...but often had to wait for duffers hitting into my fair way...most holes are on top each other. I enjoy this golf course. The staff is great..and despite the sand traps, the course is in great shape. I recommend it.
Eaglewood
Pace of play crazy slow, over 5 hours . Not worth the trouble
Always Enjoy Eaglewood
What I like most about this course is the tree lined fairways and elevation changes. The staff is super friendly and it is a good course for us seniors who hit the ball straight but not as far as we did in the good young days.
Short course. Too many severe greens with pin spots on severe slopes. Otherwise it’s worth at least one round.

Pace of play was pathetic
The pace of play was pathetic. I also saw a ranger practicing chipping while he was "working"

Great shorter track that allows you to get a great score if you hit straight. Still has teeth and beautiful views. No range however and one of the worst hotdogs around.
Great course . Will definitely play again.
The course was well maintained and I was able to finish 18 holes in around 2 hours. This wSaddefinitely a great experience and it also helped that I shot a good score🙂
