About
Located just northwest of Chicago, the Eaglewood Resort & Spa opened for play in 1932. It is a classic championship golf course, built during a time when the long drive was unheard of. The 6,017-yard layout seems short by today's standards, but the course still offers a formidable challenge. It features rolling fairways lined with century-old oak trees and wildly undulating, difficult-to-read greens with varying speeds that fluctuate depending on the weather, season, and even time of day. There are generous landing areas but they are bordered by deep, strategically placed bunkers that are just waiting to swallow even slightly errant shots. The carefully sculpted and plentiful bunkers are a prominent feature of the layout. Eaglewood's scenic landscape also has three lakes that come into play on eight holes.

Nice course
Course fairways in good shape. Some greens a bit rough others in great condition. Fun and a bit challenging
Nice course for the money
Nice course for the price that we paid. Pace of play was excellent. Short course with very difficult greens as the pin placements on the day that we played were in positions that were very difficult. Many elevated tees which made for picturesque views. The layout is a bit cramped as there are many spots where tee boxes and greens are situated close together. Overall worth the greens fee that we paid - $43 with a cart.
Perfect early spring golf spot
This course is fun with a mix of elevation changes. Fairways are not narrow. Greens had challenging pin locations the day we played.
Great course great people
As 20+ handicap the course is extremely challenging. Especially the well manicured but sloping greens. Lots of vertical features - very hilly.
I made a mistake on my reservation…. I intended to reserve a foursome; however, in the app I only reserved a single. The pro shop was incredibly accommodating and got my group scheduled in. The friendliest pro shop I have ever dealt with. Thank you.
