About
Located just northwest of Chicago, the Eaglewood Resort & Spa opened for play in 1932. It is a classic championship golf course, built during a time when the long drive was unheard of. The 6,017-yard layout seems short by today's standards, but the course still offers a formidable challenge. It features rolling fairways lined with century-old oak trees and wildly undulating, difficult-to-read greens with varying speeds that fluctuate depending on the weather, season, and even time of day. There are generous landing areas but they are bordered by deep, strategically placed bunkers that are just waiting to swallow even slightly errant shots. The carefully sculpted and plentiful bunkers are a prominent feature of the layout. Eaglewood's scenic landscape also has three lakes that come into play on eight holes.

My review
We thought the course was great and have play there several times. The only issue is flag placement on the greens. When I asked why it would so badly place they said because the course is short and that would make it much harder. But the flag placement was right on the cusp of the worst place you could put a flag on a green and thought it made the play unfair.
This course needs some TLC
Very good layout
Somewhat challenging for most levels.
They need to put some money into the upkeep.
Finished in under 3 hrs.
Greens were tough and pin placements were suspect.

Great. Just opened last week. Nice to get out. Greens were nice. Dumb placement of pins but nice.
Well Run
Enjoyed the course. Teed off ahead of schedule and played the first 3 holes. Paired up with twosome and played three holes. They let me play through and I completed through 7th hole. Joined up with another single and we played several holes. I then finished on my own and enjoyed the course layout. I wish the course had been better marked as there were no tee boxes placed on the course and I had to use my gps to line up with distance reported on scorecard. Great time and avoided the rain.
We enjoyed the course and the challenging sloped greens. The par 4s that are shorter are well guarded with bunkers and elevations. Late November golf is always a bonus. Will play this course again next year.
No signage
No signs on the entire course telling which hole is what. If you never played here you'll get lose since there no signs.
Short but Fun and Challenging
Short course (6000+) from the tips, but layout and greens make it a challenging course, especially when you don’t hit them straight.
Not extremely challenging. Yet the greens were difficult. Very well kept and pace was good.
