About
Located just northwest of Chicago, the Eaglewood Resort & Spa opened for play in 1932. It is a classic championship golf course, built during a time when the long drive was unheard of. The 6,017-yard layout seems short by today's standards, but the course still offers a formidable challenge. It features rolling fairways lined with century-old oak trees and wildly undulating, difficult-to-read greens with varying speeds that fluctuate depending on the weather, season, and even time of day. There are generous landing areas but they are bordered by deep, strategically placed bunkers that are just waiting to swallow even slightly errant shots. The carefully sculpted and plentiful bunkers are a prominent feature of the layout. Eaglewood's scenic landscape also has three lakes that come into play on eight holes.

best staff ever
you feel right at home as soon as you enter the pro shop---your greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. the rangers are equally as pleasant and the golf pro, Dave is exceptional.

This course is a cracker
Played this course on Tues 1st April after it had been open a week for the new season. The fairways were amazing and lush and the greens ran true if a little slow due to the length of the grass as the weather was not warm enough yet for grass growth.
The Par 3’s off the Black tees were a real challenge and the Par 5’s offered the chance at potential birdies by reaching the green in two
Cart paths were immaculate and well placed to easily navigate the course as a first timer
hidden gem
Very nice layout and looked beautiful on a crisp fall date. Really nice shape. Some goofy holes but you make that case for any course.
Played in 4 hours on a Sunday which was great. Love the 100 yard par 3. Really unique hole.
