Ozarks
Course great Snack/bar closed at 3:00 pm which really is too early for late morning/after 12:00 T-times.
The Oaks
An older course that shows its age. The clubhouse dates to late 70's look and is worn and tired. Staff are awesome and attentive. Greens were excellent and fairways plush. The rough got way too rocky way too close to the first cut. Hate to tear up my equipment this way. Layout is challenging and will make you earn your birdies and pay with double sometimes. I'll be back due to cost and traditional environment
This course is absolutely beautiful
This is a challenging course, but not too difficult to make it a joy to play. The green's keeper does a great job keeping the course manicured. I've played here a few times over the years and it just keeps getting better. Tantara does a great job with this property. Play here if you plan a golfing vacation at the Lake of the Ozarks, you won't be sorry.
Tan Tara the Oaks
Course was not bad. But no water to drink, and no cart person. Pro shop was nice.
Excellent, challenging course
As with many of the courses at the Lake of the Ozarks accuracy is important. Fairways are not overly narrow, and the rough is playable, but tree-lined fairways and lots of poison ivy limit off target shots. Great fairways and greens are in perfect shape. Was not crowded and we were able to play at a good pace without waiting or being pushed. Only downside was limited food selection.
Impressive
Tough, but playable. Enjoyable afternoon of golf. Will play again.
Playing "The Oaks" at Tan-tara
The course is very lady-friendly. Had a great time.
Course is a Solid Test
The course is a solid test for all levels of golfers. While the course is no very long, it requires accurate tee shots and navigating elevation changes. The staff was friendly and the conditions are great. Will play again
Complete garbage
This course was probably good 30 years ago but it looks like it hasn't been touched since. Too many negatives to list but the main one is the $75 greens fee. Multiple irrigation lines leaking leaving standing water on the course and cart path. Not a bad layout and the greens were decent. Would only play again if the cost was about $25
A joke
Paid $75 to play a course that was at best worth $30. Place is a joke. Spend your money and play bear creek.
Relaxing
The price may be a little high but worth a little extra money because they spread out the foursomes so you not waiting and no one is waiting on you.
Wet but fun
Course was extremely wet and the day added more moisture to the course. There was no roll on any of the shots and balls that normally would roll down the hills left you with downhill - sidehill soupy lies which made it very difficult to hit a clean shot. When dry the course should be very nice but when wet it's better to wait a day or two.
nice layout, great challenge
Thought it was a great course for the money. Was dissappointed the clubhouse grill closed when it did but I'm not use to playing this late in the evening... overall, great experience.
Very enjoyable round
This course is winding through forest, not fairways lined with homes and condo's. Many elevation changes and shots across water. A good test of golf with separate tees for all levels of playing ability. Gives a good distance allowance for seniors and women.
difficult course
hard course to play when you never seem to have a flat lie. rough wasn't mowed because of recent rains
Better
Course is in much better condition than the last few years, it was a disaster. I was told it has new owners. Greens are well protected with bunkers and par 3's all carry water, fun design, just hope they keep improving it.
beautiful course in the ozarks
a fun and somewhat challenging course. very beautiful holes and you never know what critters you will see on the course..we had a beaver run across one tee box
Beautiful course
Course greening up from long winter, still in great shape, playing very fair w/ greens rolling nicely.
