nice course will play again
nice maintained course, staff nice ,golf course in great shape, tees for every skilled player , golf carts very nice with gps will play again .
good layout
the rough was way to deep, not a good set up for public play.
Cherry Blossom
Good practice area; range and 2 putting greens. Beautiful track. Not long, but challenging. Birdies and DblBoogies available. Rough not ridiculous, Greens were true, GPS in carts. Well managed where rounds can be enjoyed without great delays.
One of the Best in the Bluegrass
I try to play at Cherry Blossom whenever I have the opportunity. My experience has always been pleasant, and my round on 7/3 was no exception. I booked the round as a Hot Deal, so the price was unbelievable. The pro shop staff was friendly and got us started on our round well ahead of our booked time.
The course was in great shape, as usual. The fairways are well kept, albeit a bit narrow on a few holes, which added to the difficulty. I played from the black tees (6,800+ yards) and found it fun and challenging at the same time. The greens were in great shape...soft enough to hold approach shots and fast enough to make putting interesting.
The one thing that needs improvement are the bunkers. Granted, we've had some rain the few days before my round, but I still found the traps to be a bit thin on sand which made bunker play not very fun.
If you've not yet played Cherry Blossom, I highly recommend that you book a round. You won't be disappointed.
Great Course!
Cherry Blossom was in pristine condition. The tee boxes, greens, and fairways were in excellent shape. The rough is very thick and challenging to hit out of. The layout of the course makes second shots tough.
Great course!
Great course, hot day.
Course played very straightforward. I did notice about a 10 yard longer GPS distance compared to my phone skydroid app. So, i usually just averaged the two readings to get a pretty good distance.
The rough was deep and very challenging, but the fairways are available for good shots. Greens are faster than most around town, but very true. Putts can be made.
Only complaint is that we never saw a Beverage Cart. Could have used a few cold ones as the temp was near 90. Other than that, I will play it again.
Hot deal - good value
Cherry Blossom is well maintained, and generally fair; most of the trouble is in front of you. The bunkers are deeper than average, and needed some attention, but otherwise in great shape. They save the best for last - 18 is an attention getter. We [2] played a hot deal at 3:20 PM on a Saturday and were out in about 3 hours.
Nice course
Had a 7:30 tee time on Father's Day. Course was in great shape. Fairways & greens were taken well care of. I usually play from the black tees in the Cincinnati area, but this course seemed like it played pretty long from black.
The rough was also pretty thick. I don't know if that was just a "US Open weekend" type thing or what, but I definitely had some trouble with it. Made it more challenging for sure.
Love the course, great layout & pretty challenging.
Saturday Gallery was fun
A well designed course that rewards good shots and makes struggles out of poor shots.
Traps well maintained (found out the hard way).
Greens are fast but once speed is mastered can be played well.
Since homes line the course, there were many watching. A few helped me located my errand shot. Very friendly home owners along the course (wish they did NOT have to help me though!)
This course had some challenging holes.
The greens were very tough which made this course fun to play.
One of my new favorites!
I'd been looking forward to playing here for some time... I'm excited that Golf Now made it available!
I thought the course itself was beautiful! Very well maintained! I'm also a huge fan of the GPS-enabled ELECTRIC carts!
The rough was a little tall, in my opinion. I had some shots that were lost simply because of height of the grass, which really isn't much different than other courses I've been playing as of late.
Outstanding course that is very challenging
Cherry Blossom is a great golf course that appeals to a wide range of golfers. It is set up to be very challenging with great fairways and greens and rough that is deep and difficult. Keep it in the fairway and your best score can be achieved.
Great condition but tough if you don't hit a long drive.
Very tough course to play from the tips, unless you hit a long tee shot. Holes seem short but don't play that way. Tough par 3's based on pin locations, seemed to all be tucked away or right on top of tiers. Water hazards and OB come into play pretty often. When I played, the rough was very thick, to the point where you could easily lose a ball even though you saw it land. They were mowing while I was playing though so it could be shorter generally. Lots of blind approaches and the way you saw a green from the fairway wasn't always how it exactly looked; for example, one hole, from the fairway it looked as if a green was sloping severely from back to front but once you reached the green, you saw this was not the case. Greens were soft and rolled true, but a little slow. Also, the GPS on the carts seemed to be off every hole, not sure if the pins placements were inputted wrong or what. Overall, a great course but very challenging. Prices could be a little lower.
Great evening with my son playing nice golf coures.
Course in great shape considering all the recent rain. Greens were really good, as were fairways. Rough thick and lush. Pace of play was perfect and GPS making club selection easy.
Very nice layout, well maintained, challenging but not unfair.
This semi private course is a very good value, thanks to Golf Now.. The course is in good shape, well maintained, with range and snack facilities. The staff was very accommodating and the pace of play was good. Even though the course is associated with a housing development, the houses are well back and many of the holes do not have houses on them. Water and creeks come into play on many of the holes. The greens rolled true, and were interesting but fair and fast enough to keep you alert. Carts have GPS so yardages are no mystery, even on a first visit. 12 & 18 are visually intimidating, but fun holes with water and really pretty views. We plan to return as often as possible.
check it out if you want
the course is a little rough right now, it's in the worst shape I have seen it in this time of year. The greens had plenty of spots of poe on them, and they were slow by Cherry Blossom standards. Lots of dandelions around the course, I guess they skimped on the chemicals this year.
I was told that they lost their greenskeeper earlier this year, So I would guess it might take the new guy some time to get the course back to it's usual shape.
Great course, fast greens
If you are a fan of fast greens then putting should come easy here. Its only mid April and the greens are already mid summer fast. Once you get the speed right though they aren't that bad.
Great Experience
This coarse is one of the best on this side of the state. Great scenery with water bordering almost every hole.
A thinking man's course.
Do not plan on overpowering this course. Wear your thinking cap and be ready to hit plenty of fairway woods, hybrids and long irons off the tee. Well-placed shots are rewarded, but be careful where you send your misses. A few relatively harmless holes may lull you into a false sense of security, but there are more than enough monsters, including 3 tough finishing holes, to have you cowering by the end of the day. The fairways were plush, the rough was moderately penal, and the greens rolled beautifully.
Fun course for the money
Course and greens were in great shape. The greens were a little firm, probably could use an arriation. And the bunkers werent raked but we did get a lot of rainn days prior. Love the course and the variation of types of holes. Would reccomend for any skill level and plan on going back for sure.
