About
Carved from forests of towering oaks and pines, Old Corkscrew Golf Club exhibits all of the superior characteristics that define Nicklaus Signature courses. The absence of houses around the golf course adds to the secluded and peaceful feel that is provided by the dense thickets of trees that surround it. Jack Nicklaus himself was a prominent presence throughout every phase of the course's construction, incorporating well balanced holes that vary in direction, look, and feel. Proper club selection will be greatly rewarded on this golf course. The fast-paced, undulating greens sit up to 20 feet above the lush, rolling fairways, which can create some tricky pin placements if you're not careful. Old Corkscrew Golf Club's fairways are rather generous, but they are framed by carefully sculpted bunkers. Several large ponds come into play on nearly every hole and there are also numerous sand traps strategically placed along the greensides.

Great day
played with my son today and we had a great time. Our round not so good but we both had some great holes thats why we keep playing. The course was in good condition. The greens need a couple of weeks.

Not in the greatest condition
I expect more out of this top tier course and have never seen the greens in this bad of shape.

My Favorite Public Course in Naples FL AREA
Even though my game was not on last winter, I very much enjoyed the course. I love northern Michigan courses and Old Cork Screw reminds me of northern Michigan even though it has Florida Vegetation and Palm trees. Most of my golf partners prefer flat and open, but I prefer interesting.
A great test
First time playing the course. Staff is amazing and friendly and helpful. It’s one of if not the most difficult course in south west Florida. Tight fairways and very difficult greens. Ultimate test if you think you have your game...
Upon arrival the bag attendants said one was a scratch player and the other less than 5 handicap. They both said the first time they played the course, they didn’t break 90.

Bring your A game
Be prepared to think your way around this course. You also better know you distances of you clubs. Some of the holes don’t leave you any room for error. The staff was fabulous. The course was scruffy, but it was coming of of a lot of rain.

Best course for the money
Very challenging course with a lot of undulations on the greens. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. There are no houses on the course which makes it feel like you are in nature.

Extremely Disappointed
I brought friends with me for a great experience , it was the exact opposite of what I expected. “ WHO PAYS $110 FOR A 5 HR ROUND OF GOLF ? ? “ The course was overbooked with three groups on every hole . The bathrooms were clogged up and deplorable.. Great layout , very unfortunate Extremely disappointed...

Don’t be afraid
For years I’ve tried to get some friends to play Old Corkscrew but it’s reputation of being difficult dissuaded them. Other than some challenging greens, I found it to be very fair.

Most Challenging Course I played
This course was a great challenge to my game. Would love to play it in cooler weather. August is the hottest in South Florida.

Great day, great course!
The rankings that include this course as a must play in FL couldn't have been more right. Such a clever golf course that keeps you on your toes and requires precision at every turn. Its a pricey but worthwhile course. A caddie would have definitely helped on some blind shots, but still straight forward enough that any golfer could have traversed it.
