Old Corkscrew Golf Club

Great layout and very challenging for mid level players. Many fairways have narrow areas and are sloped to boundaries. Fairways were in great shape but greens were very grainy as if recently top dressed. Staff very helpful. Marshals keep pace in a friendly manner.

If i did not get such a great hot deal, i would be real p.o. to pay the regular rates & have these conditions. Bag men said they were sanded a week ago, but all greens still had a lot of sand on them, but still quite quick.

Need more short tee especially for the women, as most greens elevated, undulating & fairly small - hard to hold. Reason for slow play. Too tough for handicappers over 16.

GPS should show distance to hazards.

Great course layout, open fairways and challenging greens. Although we had gale force winds, it was a pleasure golfing this course. We did wait on quute a few holes but had great playing partners from Chicago. Regardless of wait we were able to finish the round in 4:30hrs. Would definitely play it again and look forward to it!

Excellent course, friendly and accommodating stall, and great practice facilities. The course is beautiful and scenic, almost every hole looks like a signature hole. The only problem is the pace of play. Expect a 5 hour round.

The course is very hard, granted. Otherwise only average at best. Even with a great discounted price, not worth the money or the hype

Unfortunately our round was ruined by the group of 16 bozosfrom Chicago who were in front of us. Our round took nearly 5 hours & we had to wait on nearly every hole.The rangers tried to move them along with little success.

My son and I played the course for the first time and loved it. A good challenge but very fair. I would highly recommend this course to anyone.

The course was very well maintained, and the greens were VERY fast and full of breaking putts. Our group was primarily octogenarians, and even from the gold tees, we struggled. There is a LOT of sand and we found it, frequently and often. The fairways seemed to steer what seemed to be good shots into the bunkers.

The only annoyance (beside the biting flies), was the frequent messages that we were behind the pace of play, without being able to inform the clubhouse that we were waiting for the group in front on every tee box.

I discovered Old Corkscrew when my plans to play another course with a friend fell through. I looked around and am I ever glad I chose this course! It is literally a nature preserve! It is very peaceful and has a very challenging layout. While the weather was a little colder than I planned for South Florida this time of year, the sky was blue and the sun very warming. The course is in great condition and the greens are very fast. Your short game needs to be on or you will have a tough time holding par. The staff was extremely friendly. A great value that I would rate ahead of Tiburón Gold or Black.

I enjoyed this course. The fairways were kinda thin. Winter conditions. The greens were very difficult. Slick and undulating. Play the right set of tees for an enjoyable round.

Great course. Awesome staff. Challenging course but very enjoyable. I brought two newbies with me and thought we might get hounded buy Marshall's for pace of play, wasn't the case. Instead, they helped us look for balls, ha. Will def play again.

All around great day. Beautiful day with hubbie and brother in law. Great golf course. Played in 4 hours. Course was in great shape. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for!!!

Corkscrew is a very good course.

However, unbeknownst to me, the greens were top dressed with a whole lot of sand.

Which I understand.

That being said , you shouldn’t charge $175.

Give the customer $30 off or something.
