Saltleaf Golf Preserve - The Preserve

Play hear twice last weekend. First time out we were first off the tea and finished three people in three hours 20 minutes and could’ve been faster. Course conditions are wonderful. Greens are extremely fast and due to their design can be very difficult.

Fairways tight and many places

Second round tee off at 8:30, 1 hour into the day

Had to wait on virtually every hole on the back nine and a few of the holes on the front

I don’t understand why no monitoring

Overall, great time and yes, a difficult course but worth it

Florida courses can be monatomous, but Saltleaf is not. A fun layout, great conditions, and fantastic greens. There is a lot of variety which includes well designed risk-reward holes (I din't do too well with teh reward part). It's a good balance of think your way through a hole and relax and just hit the ball. My only knock is that it doesn't seem worth the $300+ price tag. Range is a large net, ok to warm up, but not if you want to work on anything specific. That being said, it's probably priced where it needs to be in peake Florida season. Nice people, fun course, well maintained, and fantastic greens will make you want to coe back.

Saltleaf has very fast greens that are rolled to a very hard consistency but well maintained. The tees and fairways are average at best. Staff was friendly and accommodating but should have had a ranger encouraging the groups ahead of us to pick up the pace of play. We did see the ranger in the distance at the beginning of our round but he must have left the course around 2:00 pm. The starter was very helpful and apologized for the slow play. I would not recommend this golf course.

This course has a challenging layout but was very overpriced for the conditions.

The course was in excellent condition. Pace of play was fast, however we had a twosome behind us pushing us on every shot, yet we played the 18 holes in 4 hrs. We let them go through, but then as we knew would happen we started waiting on them every shot. Seems they were moving fast just to get ahead of us then slowed their games down. I wish the course would have grouped more players together. We had at least two twosome’s playing behind us after letting one twosome through. The other twosomes never caught us until we started waiting on the twosome in front of us which they were starting to wait on foursomes in front of them. Greens were hard and extremely fast to the point of being too fast. Hard to even lag putt. Scenery and course were beautiful. Club house excellent along with on course amenities.

This course is awesome. The layout, the condition and the people were all great. The greens were unbelievable. I would definitely recommend. This has to be the best public course around.

Course conditions and layout is immaculate. However at a premium price, there has to be great practice facilities. There is a 160 yard enclosed diving range and no chipping area which is odd for a course that is spread over 150 acres. Water is available at the snack bar at the 1/10 tee but no where else on the course and it does get hot in southern Florida.

The course plays harder then its rating. Not alot of room if you miss the fairways. Greens are fast and true and in unbelievably great shape.

As good a course you will ever play. The greens were smooth and rolling but would hold. Manicured fairways . Just in phenomenal shape. Took a shot. Not from here. Just played Doral last week and if o had to pick, I’d pick Saltleaf.

Great layout, gorgeous greens and fairways. Kind of hard to locate due to construction.
