Saltleaf Golf Preserve - The Preserve

The course just came off summer maintenance closure, the greens had been plugged roughly a week or two prior to playing but the greens were still pretty true and fast. The course was very fun to play, and other than the plugged greens, was in great shape. Many fun features! Pace of play was right at 4 hours and 15 min. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Bonita springs. Pricing seemed fair for the quality of course. One thing to note, the course could play very long or very short depending on the tees chosen.

I see that most reviewers rave for the friendliness of the staff and conditions. Compared to what Saltleaf was before; Raptor Bay, the new layout is an abomination and boring at best. The re-design and the lack of a true range don’t make it worth the $ it asks during “season” and it is not worth what those are willing to pay for it at that time. The front “10” criss cross 3 times before you head to a cramped 11-17 with unmemorable holes. There are better courses to play throughout SWFL, more than likely the last time my group will play. The developers and their $ ruined a once fun track to make room for condos and a goofy boring layout that offers little to the player visually or actually.

First time playing this course. The greens were fast and rolled nicely. Course was in great shape and I’ll play it again!
