Lake Presidential Golf Club

Very challenging course. I love it and play here often.

in recent years, I’ve noticed a significant drop in course management. The play has become much slower, and it is a rare that I see in Marshall driving the course.

I have also seen on several occasions, greens or torn up from cleats. So I do not know if metal cleats are allowed or if they are not being taken care of.

I am a 5 and stuggled to break 85. Its like TPC Avenel and the old Lake Arbor mated.

Front 9 is VERY difficult. Narrow fairways, thick rough and lots and lots of forced carries and hazards. 4 is really the only 'easy' hole on the front and it has deep bunkers. I played much better on the back 9 as I got conservative and there are two short par 4's and a short par 5. The only station the cart radio picked up was Bloomberg--how DC.

Id like to play in the fall with some firmer conditions---thought they over watered to deal with the heat. uBt routing and scenery is spectacular-esp for a course surrounded by houses. I saw a fox on 3.

pace of play was bad. cart wasnt prepped properly-no scorecard.

Course was in great condition from tees to green. Hard, challenging course but always fun to play.

Lake Presidential is one of my favorite courses in the DMV and often times you can’t beat the price.

If you time it right, you can play very quickly around that course. If you are unlucky however, you can be stuck behind groups because of poor pace of play.

The bones of the course are great but maintenance of the course could have been slightly better. Still a great round and value but room for improvement.

Greens were just punched and covered with sand, we were not informed of conditions prior to paying. Course was pretty dry yet cart path only all day, again if I had known before hand of these conditions I would have cancelled my round.

The day couldn't have been more perfect. Nice breeze, no one in front or behind us. Great time!!

When we played the golf course conditions were about the best I’ve seen on this course. Have played it many many times. Greens were smooth and very firm, like they were rolled recently.

What once was a great course has fallen. I am sick of Lake Presidential’s nonsense. Get a ranger and enforce pace of play or don’t stack 9 MINUTE tee times. There’s no way they can justify charging as much as they do. Conditions average at best. This course should be boycotted until they make significant changes. Potential is there the gem it once was but new management is needed.

The back nine is a wonderful walk/ride through a peaceful park and only one hole makes you wonder why they would put such a diabolical hole in the middle of it. The fact that they only have a grass practice range should be enough to tip the scale in their favor when choosing a place to play in the area.

Haven't had rain in 3 days still cart path only. Called for a marshal multiple times to no avail. Played 9 holes in just under 3 hours and decided to leave the pace was unbearable and overbooked. Happens every time and management could careless.

The course was cart path only and that was not a plus. We only got in 4 holes before the skies opened up and ended our round.

Always in good shape!! Slow pace but a good day. Really wish they would put some money and effort into making this course all that it could be. Simple things like ball washers and trash cans missing from the entire course. A fake fox or two to keep goose poop off the tee boxes and greens would be nice too. A real bar/clubhouse area to kick your feet up and enjoy a post round drink and this course could be one of the best in the area
