Lake Presidential Golf Club

There was no warning to us when I booked that the course was being/had been punched. Since the punch was only 4 days old, the greens were obviously awful, making the long round we always see here pretty rough -- thankfully it was good company! I don't know if that's a GolfNow issue or a Lake Pres issue, but when we were told at check-in, they gave us all $25 gift certificates to Lake Pres which is a nice gesture but a meh solution and makes me think Lake Pres didn't communicate the schedule with GolfNow's system.

Terrible pace of play. When we arrived, we were informed they were running about 30 minutes behind. No complementary range balls were offered. Once on the course, it was super slow. At one point there were 5 groups backed up on one tee. There was a marshal that drove up to that tee and just sat there staring at us. When asked, he said "it's just normal summer golf...you gotta expect 5 hour rounds". We only played 9 holes ($70 each) and it was over 3 hours, never more than a shot behind the group ahead. Terrible experience on the course.

Several blind holes…course makes one think. Good variety of wide open fairways and tight as well. Greens have been recently top dressed and punched. I believe they will be tremendous in a few weeks. Staff was great, provided good, useful information about the course. Pace of play was good for a Saturday afternoon. Would definitely play again.

Just aerated and had to play the front twice since the back was unplayable. Seems like they should have been charging half price.

The course was nice enough albeit slow moving and a late start. My complaint is with their policies. I reserved a foursome but one of my party tested positive for covid the morning of our tee time.

Management was entirely unwilling to work with me. I was charged the $120 of his tee time without any concern or attempted customer service. I guess they'd prefer my friend show up and infect the rest of their staff & clientele. I will NOT be booking at Lake Presidential again nor should you unless you want to roll the dice to throw your money away.

Showed up to the course and immediately found out the tee times were nearly an hour behind schedule. No golf carts available until we tee’d off and very little communication from the staff. Once on the course the pace of play was terrible. Played 11 holes in 4+ hours and decided to give up after the 12 hole was backed up. I understand that some of this was beyond the management’s controls but the lack of communication was extremely frustrating. I will not go back to this course based on this experience:(

Played on an afternoon Hot Deal rate, so you can't beat getting in a Winter round at this course for under $40 (pre-tax & fee), temps reached the high 50s. Many of the tee-boxes were a bit beat-up, but the greens were nice and rolled well. There's still way too many golfers out there who aren't repairing their ball-marks on the greens (or their divots in the fairways).

Overall good course and condition given it's early March.
