Lake Presidential Golf Club

First time playing at Lake Presidential and had a great time. Staff was friendly, cost was very reasonable and course was challenging. Other than the greens not being in good shape, had a great time.

It was a 3 hour frost delay that was poorly handled.

I have played here before and had no complaints. On the day I most recently played, the team managing the player situation made a serious mistake. After a frost delay (which I know can't be avoided), they sent off all the backlog in a shotgun start on all holes. They did NOT notify everyone else of the situation. I arrived for a Noon tee time about 45 minutes early. I didn't even have a cart until 1:00 p.m. and didn't tee off until approximately 1:20 p.m. Once we started, there was an extreme backlog at every hole, sometime waiting for three groups ahead of us to tee off. What should have been noon start and easy finish before dark turned into the worst golf experience of my life with about 13 holes played before dark. We all know you can't avoid frost delays, but no one around that day had ever witnessed such poor planning. On top of that, the staff made no effort to apologize or make up for it in any way. On top of that, they had not put any water out on the course and did not have a beverage cart - this was on a holiday with a fully booked tee sheet. Another sad example of limited supply and large demand for golf in the DMV.

I love the course and looking forward to playing there again and the seen on the 18th tee box is so beautiful

Pace of play was excellent until I ran into a foursome. Played 14 holes in 1:45, but took 1 hour to play the last four holes.

Excellent course. Fantastic shape even in February. Front 9 is no joke. Will be back in the spring!

Enjoyed my time out at Lake Presidential. The course was in great shape for this time of year and the staff was fantastic !!!!

It was my first time playing Lake Presidential. I was really impressed with the course and the driving range. Friendly staff but no food available. Possibly COVID related or lack of workforce. Either way we came for the golf and thoroughly enjoyed it.

It’s our last round of the year and couldn’t have picked a better day to play, and not to mention the course was pretty empty so the c.p.o (cart path only) worked out well.

No one holding us up and no one pushing us either. The overall course conditions were exceptional and for what we paid online was satisfying. Looking forward to playing again @Whiskey Creek as long as the price is right.

This course is challenging but doesn't beat you up with "through the windmill into the clown's mouth" holes. For Dec. 25 it was in very good condition. It was busy but play was kept at a reasonable pace. It's a little pricey but on par with comparable tracks in the area.

Course was in OK shape, but the greens were significantly slower than the practice green and every green actually had multiple holes cut in them for some reason. Also, none of the flags made sense. Red, white, blue, colors alternated by hole, but didn’t seem to have any consistent meaning. Staff was nice, but seemed confused and unfamiliar with their computer systems. Pace of play was slow despite having twosomes in front of us and didn’t see a single Marshall all day. Course layout is interesting and this course could be great with some more attention to the conditions and pace of play.

Course is in great shape for winter - greens still putt true.

Got an opportunity to play Lake Presidential on Christmas Day and it was the present i needed. Great track with wonderful challenges for golfers of every experience. Couldn’t wait to play it again so, 4 days later i went back! Love it!

I can’t say anything good about this place anymore. Since Troon let the property go it has completely went down the drain. I wish there was a way to get a refund….
