Lake Presidential Golf Club

I booked a round for 7:48 Friday Morning 10/10. We we had a wedding in the late afternoon. Should have had no issue completing a round in time. Lake Pres 2x booked another group at our time and told me I was supposed to tee off at 7:39 when I checked in.

My email reservation confirmed 7:48. Because they deemed us 'late" for our phantom 7:39 time, we got screwed by the starter and shuffled back behind 3 groups and didn't tee off until almost 8:15. Now we were stuck behind groups slower than a turtle's rear end. We had to leave after 13 holes.

Other friends of mine experienced having another group booked same time as theirs in the past. It appears to be a trend. They have no serviceable bar. Absolutely lame. Guys behind the register were nice at least.

Buyer beware.

No notice of green aeration, poorly sanded, and excess plugs remaining in fringe

This is a championship course that is treated like a shabby unkept public course. No one fixes ball marks. Greens were aerated and we weren't informed. The bunkers are construction sand and never raked. Off fairways is all crab grass. They don't cut anything except greens, tees, and fairways (fairways were in pretty good shape). This course has the best layout in the area and should be treated that way!

Love playing here. Played after a bad Rian storm but the place was in pretty good shape for this time of the year. Will be back!

I love the course, but pace of play is often a problem with the last round taking 5 and a half hours

The course is fun. It has a good design, lovely views, and decent condition. However, I played out there on a beautiful Saturday. The pace of play was terrible. It took almost 6 hours to complete a round. The cart girl only came twice during those 6 hours. The second time was as we were heading to tee off on the 18th hole.

The staff was friendly, but the marshall/ranger staff is useless. Two foursomes were playing together, and a single was playing between two threesomes in front of us. Despite multiple calls to the clubhouse to come out and help speed things up, nothing was done.

I would love to play this course again because it is a fun golf course, but the pace of play and lack of hydration stations or timely cart girls make me never want to return.

Great course to play! Carts had GPS and blue tooth speakers, the only complaint is the grill isn't fully operational, you can get some food and drinks but having such a nice course without being able to hang out on the wonderful patio afterwards is a shame. But!!! Will be back!!

The staff who greeted us were wonderful. The course layout is fair and challenging. The tee boxes were in decent shape, the traps were fine, the greens were in great shape and rolled true, however the fairways were really wet so you had to take great care not to hit a ball remotely fat. Our round took 5 and a half hours but we weren’t in hurry so we were fine. We would definitely play the course again if we weren’t in a hurry as we noticed many reviews mentioning slow play.

Have been playing this course for quite a few years. Over the years the condition has been deteriorating, this time to new low. There are weeds everywhere in the rough, bunkers packed rock hard and not raked, almost unplayable, greens are full of unrepaired ball marks and some bare spots, and no water available on the course. And carts raced by ahead unannounced, and groups cutting in at the turn. Overall not a good experience on a perfectly sunny summer day. What a shame for such a nice setup. It is now just a shadow of its yesteryear glory. We are probably not coming back to play here anymore.

great course layout and all the staff was very nice but the pace of play is beyond slow everytime i’m there and the fairways are in awful shape. it’s very obvious no one repairs their ball marks on the green or fill their divots in the fairway because there are chunks of grass missing everywhere. overall not worth $100+

Some tee boxes had long grass growing on them and all the greens had unrepaired divots and spike mark around the hole. Bunkers were inconsistent some with sand and some with almost no sand. Challenging layout though

Booked a foursome, one of our group didn’t show up, I got charged for the missing person. I don’t care if it’s written on the website under cancellations – that was $119. I will warn every golfer that I meet that they should be aware of how Lake Presidential operates.

Nice course but it never fails that no matter how early your tee time is you are looking at a 5 hour round. There is never a marshal out on the course making sure pace of play is in line, you always have groups searching endlessly for golf balls on every hole so its constantly backed up.

Great layout & challenging - especially in the wet conditions! Be careful on the cart paths - carts will slip on the hills. Loved the course & staff - will definitely play again!

I’m so disappointed with how high the price is to play golf these days, and some of these courses are absolutely a ‘dog track’ .. but not here at Lake Presidential.. the price is very reasonable and the course layout & conditions are a top notch .. don’t take my words for it just go experience it for yourself ..
