About
Lake Presidential Golf Club is one of Maryland's most popular public courses. It is a challenging championship layout that is player friendly enough to accommodate a wide range of skill levels. It stands out from run-of-the-mill municipal courses with exceptional conditions from the tees to the greens. The layout offers a diverse mix of holes that will have golfers using every club in their bag. There are some especially interesting par 3s that are visible but with enough hazards to make them a challenge. Houses border the front nine holes but they are absent on the back nine. The fairways on the last nine holes are densely lined with mature trees. The golf course finishes with an enjoyable par 5 that plays over a lake. It can be reached in two with a little skill and accuracy.

Beautiful Course
Played the course earlier today and was not disappointed! Beautiful layout, very polite staff and greens were outstanding! Can't wait to get back Easily one of the most cared for courses in the area...
Course layout challenging
A very nice layout and greens are in excellent conditions. Tee boxes in decent shape too. Fairways are another story, but that is because of lazy and uneducated golfers. Please replace your fairways divots so we all can play a better condition.
Best shape ever
I had played Lake Presidential in the past but haven’t been back for a few years. I was pleasantly surprised at the condition of the course. It was in the best shape I’ve ever seen it. There wasn’t a bad spot on any green and the fairways were perfect. We will be back for sure.
Good Track
Course is in good condition aside from the recently punched greens. Course is challenging but overall a fun track
Nice to know
One of the nice things about being a newcomer to the area is the opportunity to play “new” courses in the immediate area.One of the not so nice things is unfamiliarity with said courses (blind shots ,preferred shot placement,pin settings etc.) That being said,the course allows scoring opportunities for a mid handicap like myself. I kinda feltthe slope rating from the whites was a little low but now that I have a round under my belt it’s likely appropriate .Very accommodating staff and mid-week pace of play was standard.This is a place that I’m putting on my replay list.
PS....To all course superintendents everywhere...please for the love of Go...can’t say that...please for the love of golf put the rakes back in the bunkers
Good but....
Course is looking great, but uneven greens after aeration. Back nine greens in much better shape after aeration, but front 9 had too much top dressing to justify the rate charged. Will come back maybe after the greens have grown in from aeration.
The course is long and hard. It’s Alex beautifying features such as flowers bushes etc. the course was in morally good shape.
