Disappointed
Deeply disappointed in the course conditions after reading very favourable reviews online.

Course was dry, fairways and greens could have used some water
we were in a hour frost delay from a 12:48 tee time to not finishing the 18 holes due to darkness.
waiting at every hole so pace of play was a little slow for my liking.
Declining conditions
There was a two hour frost delay, we had a 1:26 tee time , should have been able to play 18 easily but with the delay we barely finished, the greens are not in very good condition and the pace of play was terrible
Great pace
Course was in good condition and the pace was under 4 hours. Always enjoy playing here.
Great conditions
The course was in great condition overall. There were a few rough spots on the greens, but the pin placements or away from areas that needed repair. The greens were receptive and the pin placements were fair. The tea boxes and fairways were in good condition as well. Some of the bunkers could use some sand but other than that the course was awesome and it was a great day for golf. The course is in way better shape now than this time last year. It has been improving steadily since the summer. Highly recommended to play this course!
getting better with new ownership
I played Mission Royale about 10 years ago and promised myself I would never go back. It was a disaster with grass. Played there the other day as I had read the reviews and they sounded pretty good over all. I was impressed with the difference in the course and its condition. The course has been purchased by the home owners in the development and they are in the process of getting the course up to a more well conditioned layout. The bunkers are still bad but they are in the process of being rebuilt. The fairways are good but the rough is dormant Bermuda with some bare spots. The greens were a bit bumpy but more than playable. Give this course a few years and it will be a hidden gem. By the way the staff are first class and very welcoming. I will go back for sure!
Friendly staff, great course
Started late due due to frost, staff was out there to tell us before we unloaded, was very polite and professional. We had a first timer with us, we’re never harassed by staff for playing too slow. Second time golfing there, probably one of the best staffs I have encountered. Will definitely be back
