Great value - Equivalent to Valley $180 Round
Greens rolled about a 10 and true. Fairways and tee boxes overall good shape, few places where summer grass is trying to take. Great staff. Always enjoy playing here. Same conditions in the valley, youd be well over $150 per round.
I'm about a 10 Handicap and play twice a month.
I think you’re going to love it!
We played here last November and wanted to play it again because we liked it so much.
To be honest, I think it was in a little better shape in November, still good though.
Shout out to Pete and Mark our playing partners for the round.
They made our day! Hope to get another round or ten with them down the road!
Anyway, book a round here, you won’t be disappointed 👍
Worth the drive of ~50 miles
I have enjoyed playing this course many times. Though it be a 45 minute drive from the house, definitely worth the drive for a change. Since most of the players would be residents, a visitor may be the only slow player. Flat and 'walkable' but some 'green to tee' distances would dissuade walking. The staff is happy to welcome visitors as they are tired of seeing the same old residents, and you don't smell as bad as the Pickle Ballers. Affordable due to the course accepting GP+ monthly credits for Hot Deals.
Course was in very good condition considering the beginning of transition back to Bermuda grass. Traps could use a little work and sand. Fun to play, was especially impressed with the forward tee placement for anyone new to the game or doesn’t hit the ball very far. Greens are great condition and consistent speed.
Worth the drive
My group is played here quite a few times and the courses always in decent shape. This round happened to be on Easter and the course had very light traffic. The fairways seem to be recovering and are about 2 weeks away from being in really good condition. While this is a little bit out of the way if you live in Phoenix it's worth the drive as far as value for the money.
1st Timer
Very much enjoyed the course the staff and the other golfers we were paired up with. It was a fun day to play golf.
as stated by all of my previous responses, it was an excellent experience by all accounts.
Our First Round at RR
Unfortunately, due to a morning tournament they were running 30 minutes behind on tee times. I would rate the course as average for conditions and for the price. The starter, Ron, was extremely helpful and friendly. The woman in the pro shop was less than friendly and did not make me feel welcome upon check-in. I would give her the benefit of the doubt that perhaps something had happened prior to our arrival. But my first impressions were somewhat impacted by that experience. All in all I would return for the right price.
Disappointing round on a sunday
Today was a very disappointing day at Robson. I’m a tough guy to upset but I had multiple poor interactions with multiple staff members. Restaurant was absolutely disgusting with dirty plates everywhere and no one even trying to keep things clean.
Things were extremely backed up today which is a common thing in AZ but it was truly chaotic at Robson today.
The course itself was fine. Actually enjoyed it even though it took roughly 5.5 hours to slug through.
I can’t say I’ll be back, but I hope some things are changed for people visiting in the future. The place has potential to be a great value south of Phoenix.
Better than Expected
Really nice community - got there and checked in with the pro, super friendly and welcoming. Was paired up with a member and his son so was nice being there for the first time given the lay of the land. Starter was great, super friendly.
Was a bit skeptical as I was told the greens and fairways are painted. They only oversead the tee boxes. That being said, the course over delivered. Some of the best green I’ve putted on in the desert. The only ones nicer was at TPC Scottsdale Stadium course.
I’d play this course more often especially for what they charge, the only drawback is the hour drive from Phoenix.
If you have some time and want a great deal and don’t mind the drive, take a trip to Robson Ranch.
