Golf now review
Good price, excellent service from golf now online.
Robson Ranch
Course is in great shape, except for 2 holes damaged during last storm, but otherwise great Greens are true, and play very well.
Under repair
Hole two was a par four that was under repair at the tee box and you had to tee off from 100 yards out and nobody said anything about it before our round, not even the starter. They have a very good practice area.
A nice course...
This is a good course. There is a lot to like here. Greens were great. Condition of fairways were also good.
We happened to play on one of the coldest mornings you will see in this part of AZ so it did affect our game.
The rain the night before had turned a few holes into shorter ones due to mud.
All in all, it was a good day.
Nice shape
Being honest, I gave a less than satisfactory review to a different course in the area. Robson Ranch was in great shape and a joy to play. Greens were great as was tee boxes and fairways. Will play again when back from Cool ND!
Nice conditions
Course in great shape.
4some in 4 hrs.
Greens putting well.
always good
Robson Ranch is always a fun place to play. The course is always in good shape, the greens are always true and price wise its one of the best deals around. What in lacks in scenery it makes up for in conditioning and pure value. If you have not golfed there, check it out.
Excellent staff
From the golf shop check in to the first hole starter......friendly, courteous, professional and extremely efficient. Course was in great shape considering heavy rains just a few days before. Pace of play was well managed by staff.
I was surprised.
This was the first time we have played this course and we were not disappointed at all. The staff was very friendly upon arrival and they got us out right on time. I saw the marshal multiple times on the course keeping track of pace of play. The layout is not difficult but it is fun. The course is in great shape and they actually have sand in the bunkers. We really enjoyed our round of golf and will definitely be back to play again.
Pleasing to the eye with variety of interesting holes.
Excellent value for the money. Greens (a bit slow but not bad) and fairways in very good shape. Staff very helpful in dealing with slow players in front of us
Good course
Course was fine, very windy and dusty when we went out.
Robson Ranch
The staff were very friendly and helpful. We arrived early and the female in the pro shop put us out early to avoid several other groups of foursomes as we were only a twosome. The course is in good shape with well manicured tee boxes and the greens were in very good condition. The pace of play was good and we thoroughly enjoyed the course and the round even though it was an hours drive away. It was a very good value and I recommend this course.
A very good game of golf
Both of us, me & my wife shot in the low 80s. The greens we're consistant and in great shape. The best course in Casa Grande.
Starter
Today's starter was good but.....there is an elder gentleman who smokes who is grumpy....marshalls say the men's group on Wednesday are slow so expect slow play...tee time was half and hour late...restaurant is awesome And food is great
Good Course Conditions, but Slow Play
The course was in decent shape. The layout is not very challenging a lot of the holes seemed to be the same. The pace of play was brutally slow, which is common this time of year. Probably won't be back.
Nothing special
The staff in the clubhouse are very cordial and accommodating. The starter was very friendly as well. The course lacks any type of uniqueness other than dirt/gravel lining each hole. Some of the fairways are painted green and hard as a rock. Greens were ok but nothing special. Little confusing at first how they color code (plum, rust) the tee boxes rather than giving the typical names but after a few holes you figure it out. The rough is entirely dead/dormant and brown/tan. So anything off the fairway is hitting off hard lie either dirt or dead grass. If you’re looking for a beautiful course this is not it. At least not right now. Maybe it gets more green and fairways improve in summer but right now it’s pretty rough. Fair greens fee would be around $40 or under in my opinion.
User Friendly
Wide open, have to hit considerably off line to get to gravel ateas.. Fairways and greens in very good condition.
Pace of play very good, played as a twosome between fours and finished in 4 hrs and 5 minutes. Would have been 20 minutes sooner except 17 th hole had three groups backed up. Overall course is a little plain.
If you plan to shop in pro shop don’t wait til after your round, pro shop closes at 3pm, too bad they lost $100.00 sale
