Twisted Dune Golf Club
About
The golf course at the Twisted Dune Golf Club is a public, 18-hole course that is reminiscent of traditional Scottish courses. Located right on the Jersey Shore, Twisted Dune Golf Club is popular for it's beautiful views and challenging game. The deep ravines and grassy hills provide picturesque scenery and they also create interesting hazards for a good game.
Twisted Dune Golf Club lives up to his name with its twisting links-style layout, elevation changes, and rolling fairways. The golf course has par-5 holes that stretch over 500 yards as well as several par-4's and par-3's. The course also has wide fairways and large greens of bent grass.

Great golf
Great experience, from interesting holes to great shape, good greens and timely play
Twisted Dunes
Twisted Dunes being spot on for the name. Had a good time fast pace the bunkers ( dunes) full of rocks fairways good for this time of year greens were awesome and fast.
Failed
The course conditions were poor tee boxes and greens were beaten the bunkers are horrendous never seen so many stones in my life pretty much had to take an unplayable because there were so many I did like the layout.
More importantly was the rudeness of the staff the bag drop the starter and one other guy we came into contact with we’re terribly rude and abrupt the only decent person was the lad behind the counter in the pro shop he shouldn’t get roped in with the other poor employees I would never go back to this course not even for free I would probably get myself into trouble.
Unique
Ive never played a course like this one as where Im from its not possible. As it states the course was carved out of sand dunes and provides a very unique and formidible challenge. The course is fair but if you are having a bad day this course will eat you up and spit you out. Its in great shape and in my opinion cheap for what you experience. My only complaint is the bunkers (and there is a lot of them); they are basically native dirt with rocks littering them. If they fixed all the bunkers they could easily charge more.
If it wasn’t for all the geese and their droppings on several of the holes by any water, it would be 5 stars all the way. Good conditions given the hot weather and a great course to play
Staff not very friendly
I had a tee time of 1:36 and asked to change it to an open time that was available at 1:06. Because I had a dinner reservation. I called the club house said no problem they changed my time. We got to the starter at about 25 minutes early. A group was teeing off and a group was at the starter waiting to go off. The group ahead of us went up to the tee to play we were still about 10 to 15 minutes early. The starter seemed a little upset that he didn’t get the tee time change from the clubhouse. I told him I had a dinner reservation so I changed the tee time, he called the pro shop who confirmed the 1:06 time. He said that a twosome we would be playing with we’re not here yet. The twosome showed up and said they were going to the putting green. The group on the tee all hit and we’re going to their balls. I asked if the group on the putting green weren’t ready and the tee was open could we play. The starters response was I don’t care about your dinner reservation your time is 1:06 that’s when you go off. I responded that IF the putting green group wasn’t ready the tee would be open for about 10 minutes could we go off. I was told again that we had to wait until 1:06. On the 4th hole the ranger came up to us and said we had to pick up the pace (the starter and ranger were talking when we teed off). We played faster and after another three holes we were waiting on every hole for a slow threesome in front of us. It was so bad on three holes we got to the tee box and the group in front of us were still there teeing off. The ranger never showed up again for the day.
The slow play and the very rude employees turned me off. The entire group I was with will not be playing Twisted Dunes again. The course is a pretty good layout but the people that work there need an attitude adjustment.
Good deal for afternoon 9
$35 after 4pm is a steal at this place. Course is a little beat up by that time but still a beautiful course. Best bang for your buck in the area for sure.
