Twisted Dune Golf Club
About
The golf course at the Twisted Dune Golf Club is a public, 18-hole course that is reminiscent of traditional Scottish courses. Located right on the Jersey Shore, Twisted Dune Golf Club is popular for it's beautiful views and challenging game. The deep ravines and grassy hills provide picturesque scenery and they also create interesting hazards for a good game.
Twisted Dune Golf Club lives up to his name with its twisting links-style layout, elevation changes, and rolling fairways. The golf course has par-5 holes that stretch over 500 yards as well as several par-4's and par-3's. The course also has wide fairways and large greens of bent grass.

Great course but.........
What is the deal with all the rocks in the bunkers? It’s been like this for years now just hire a high school kid to pick up all the rocks. Bet he could do it in about a week. Fairways and greens are excellent. Tee boxes have been recently aerated so not the best. Staff is always super nice.
Excellent Golf course
As late in the season as it is this place was in remarkable condition. I guess people who leave bad reviews don't play alot of different courses. I play all over NJ and out of state and this place is great. The layout is fun , many interesting holes. The pace of play stunning, 345 for a foursome of shall I say not world beaters. Yes the bunkers have lots of rocks. I think it adds to the charm of the course. If you don't want to ruin your club move them. This not a tournament. Fairways have alot of divots because 95% of golfers dont fix them. The carts have dirt and seeding and it takes 5 seconds but these are they type of people that play this game. Same with ball marks on greens. How do you blame that on the course? This course has real grass in the fairways. Greens that are smooth. I didn't notice any tee box issues as some have said. Go on golf now and start playing some of the $20 special courses then get back to me. You will be doing whatever you can to get back to twisted dunes.
Not the same course
I haven't played there in 5 years the conditions have drastically decreased, the driving range looks like it hasn't been taken care of in years the tee box is where all chewed up fairways were decent and the greens were in great shape. it's a shame because it used to be one of the top courses in the area but it seems it's going downhill also the carts look like they're 20 years old.
someday
Someday i will tame this beast..! Par the first hole; then hold on tight. also ; cut yourself a little slack here, this is no pitch and putt..Otherwise enjoy this jersey gem.
Very disappointed
My first time playing this course. After reading the reviews I was expecting this course to be on par with the courses in ocean city Maryland. That is not the case. I’m not sure what courses the people reviewing this play, but this course was not in good condition. Fairways were a mess, bunkers are awful and the greens were just ok. No one replaces ball marks on the greens or divots in the fairway. Having said all that, the course has potential and can be a challenging course. I would play it again but would not pay $100.
Nice but
Course is in good condition and one of few links like course in NJ. However tee ground is in bad shape and bunkers have no sane..rock hard with rocks all over.
Good course
Fun layout and a good challenge. Tee boxes are not great. Bunkers are not sand more like clay with rocks in them. Greens good fairways good overall decent course.
Round in August
We had an early T time. Was promptly greeted and instructions were clear. Course was in great shape. Greens are challenging. Fairways and approaches in great shape. We love this place.
tee condition bad. cart path only and divots everywhere
Great day on the course the only drawback was cart path only due to all the rain they had the previous day. The greens were in good shape, as were the fairways. The sand traps definitely need some work but still playable. All in all a great track.
A little disappointed
Cart path only they should offer a discount, greens in excellent condition, tee boxes in poor condition and fairways 60 yards in were loaded with divots
Gravel pit bunkers.
Fantastic layout and course conditions with the exception of every single bunker has rocks in them. Every time I hit a ball in one I worried about my wedges. I get that there’s a ton of sand on the course but so do many other courses and I’ve never encountered anything on this scale before.
Fantastic from start to finish
The course is excellent! So much fun to play and such beautiful surroundings. Every employee was very friendly and talkative. Ranger made frequent passes to ensure everything was moving. It was going a bit slow, out there but it was a busy Saturday. Despite the amount of people on the course Ididn't feel crowded or rushed one bit. Each hole is nicely secluded from the next which keeps it very nice. The fairways are immaculate and roll fast. The greens are beautiful as well and roll even faster! Bunkers are a great challenge, some are very hard to get out of as they are so deep. 5 out of 5 would recommend, will be back for sure!
Unique Course
I love this golf course!! Very challenging and fun to play. Greens and fairways were in great shape, the tee boxes are a little beat up because of the amount of play it receives. Ranger came around a couple of times to keep play moving. Please play from the tees for your skill level, the course has forced carries. Played with two guys who should have been playing from the Senior tees but were not. Painfully slow, constantly looking for balls. Thankfully they quit after 9 holes
Great course on Jersey Shore
First time playing this course. Links course is challenging, but the course is in great shape for the summer weather this year. I’d. certainly play again next summer.
Great course. Very challenging.
Great course. Very challenging.
We played in July. It was 92 degrees.
I would suggest that they plant some trees near the cart paths for a little shade.
Other than that GREAT.
