Took too long!
Played on a Golfnow booking. Unfortunately, Druids also ran a men's club event and we were pushed to start on the back nine and couldn't even play on the front nine.
Second time
Fairways in fairly good condition. Some greens need work.
Course presents a challenge especially the back nine.
Course play was too slow. After 3 1/2 hours only got through 11. Play was worse than a muni course but the cost is almost double.
Great Day at Druids Glen!!
I play this course as often as any and I cannot remember it ever being in this good of condition. Greens rolled very true. Thanks for a great time!
Nice twilight round
Course is in good shape. Roughs look like they could use some work. Maybe more water. Down to dirt and hardpan. Overall a good experience
Great first round of the year
Played this course on Sunday morning. It was my first time playing this course and also my first round of the year. All in all, great course. Great layout, maintained well, greens were rolling true (a little less break than you think) and the traps were in nice shape and had a proper amount of sand and no rocks (at least the traps I was in). Staff was friendly, cart girl was cute (bonus) and lunch after the round was delicious.
The only negative thing I can say is about the range. It was 80 and sunny and had been sunny all week leading up to my round, and yet the grass part of the range was closed. I don't know about the rest of you, but hitting off the mats directly before a round does not help me whatsoever, in fact, in tends to weaken my swing. I don't see why they still had the grass part of the range closed.
Besides that, absolute fantastic course and definitely will be back. I am a 9 handicap and shot 80 there (bogeyed 18 =[ ) for my first round of the year. So, not exceptionally challenging.
Best it’s been
I have played this golf course many times in the past but I have never seen it in this good of shape. The tees and fairways are cut nicely and there are no bare spots. That course was dry and the ball actually rolled on the fairway. The greens are the best I have ever seen them. Moderately fast but not like glass. The practice green was actually faster than the course. I will definitely be back.
Didn’t finish
Play nine holes when thunderstorm started. Asked if I could get a rain check and said no. Bad luck I guess.
Great Course
This was my first time playing this course. In comparison to other courses in the area that I have played, the course was very well groomed, greens were good, though obviously fairly recently sanded.
I play from the white tees and felt that the course offers significant challenges that require you to hit the ball accurately and to plan shots. Overall it was a great round and I will defininently play the course again.
Druids Is Back!!!!
I blasted Druids management last year for running adds that said the course was in excellent condition when half the greens were dirt. Fast forward to today and I am happy to say that the greens are 98% back. The course is in the best shape I have seen it in 2-3 years. Great layout that I am happy to put back in the monthly rotation. Now they just need to have the course marshal push the weekend pace below 5 hrs.
Get a Power Cart
I really enjoyed the course on a lovely day. Not knowing the course, I almost walked. Between some holes from green to tee box quite a distance and very happy I took a cart. An hour and a half drive from home, but will play there again.
No warning
I made a tee time through golf now to play at druids glen in covington Washington yesterday. There were no warnings whatsoever on the app to let anyone know that only the front nine were open and the greens had just been airefied so none of the greens were playable. This was completely unsatisfactory and I will not be using GolfNow for any reservations in the future.
