Great Day
I thought the greens were great. Weren't bumpy and rolled great. Fairways had a few bare spots which it looks like low spots were water pools in the winter. Round was over 5 hours but I still enjoyed my round. Easy walking course besides two long walks between holes on the back nine.
The Par 3's are extremely tough from the blacks.
The restaurant/bar has great food and good selection of brews on tap.
Great for any level player
Great place to get out and play some challenging holes. Definitely going to be hard for those that can't hit straight but has lots of amazing holes and readable greens that won't make you want to snap your clubs.
Great course
It was a great course. It was my first time here and I am a novice player and found it challenging but not intimidating. Will definitely go back!
Very disappointed
The greens were in nice shape and the beverage cart service was great. If you are looking for anything else good you can stop reading now. The bathrooms in the clubhouse were missing soap, seat covers, and toilet paper. The range ball dispenser was out of balls as 3 of us waited hoping to warm up prior to our round (10:00 a.m. on a Sunday). Nobody ever came to remedy that situation. The fairways were skinned in many places, bunkers had many rocks, and divots were everywhere from 150 in. i see municipals in much better shape than what I experienced at Druids Glen. I definitely will not go back nor would I recommend this course to others.
Great Course
Course was in great shape. Challenging & fun. Spectacular scenery highlighted by gorgeous Mt Rainier
VALUE BABY, Value.
The course played very well, appears to be maintained regularly and greens played fast even at the beginning of real springtime.
Staff was super friendly!
If you fancy walking, do so at your own risk, it's about 150-175 yards from green to tee on every hole.
Some water hazards looked as though they weren't getting attention as some showed ugly black tarps and mud around their edges.
Lavender and yellow buds grow near the cart paths 1-9, adding some lovely color to the overpowering green all around you.
Stretches of long par fours on back nine could be considered par fives, especially 18.
Has a driving range but it could use some mats with rubber tees, as the ground was pretty beat up around the hitting spaces and everyone has to use their own tees to practice woods and drivers.
Had fun as soon as I started playing, didn't stop until the last ball fell. Will return.
Greens solid
course was in good shape but greens are solid extremely hard to stop the ball on them
good condition
Course in overall very good condition. Prety firm for this early in the season. It might dry out moving forward. Have to mention "Bobby" a marshal there. Played 5 holes with him then he had to go to work. Great guy! An asset to the course.
Beautiful Course
This is a beautiful golf course. Unfortunately, it wasn't invery good condition. It's early in the year and rainy Seattle makes it hard to keep a course in good condition. That being said, the views of Mt.Rainier are spectacular and the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest shines here.
Great condition good value
The course is in spectacular condition. The clubhouse has great food and the best bar I've seen at any golfcourse.
Greens were in good shape and so were the bunkers. This is a real great course and if you get on for early twilight one of the best values in the entire state. 5 star rating for me when everything is considered.
OK course
Good value only because it was a hot deals. Course was pretty rough., slow greens.
Hold off for a while
The greens hadn't been mowed in a while and there were a few greens that were like concrete. Couple fairways looked like Darrell took his 4x4 through them. I've played this course before and it was in a lot better shape. I don't know if they had a wash out or what but I'm glad I only paid $25 for the condition it was in. The views and the bar are fantastic along with the layout. I recommend waiting a good month or so.
April at Druids
Overall the course was in good shape. The greens were excellent, the fairways had some muddy spots and some sparse grass areas, but by the first of May, it should be very nice.
Not worth the price
maybe if you play when it's been dry for a few weeks the course would be nice but for $80 w/cart and half the fairways were unplayable it's definitely not worth the money.
Nice greens
I've played here a number of times over the years and have always really enjoyed this place. The course is unique and very picturesque. The greens are putting very well right now, but getting there is another story. It's still pretty soft and muddy and the rough is tall and thick. One of Druids key features is their white sand bunkers, and although they're pretty to look at, they're deep and difficult. They could definitely be maintained a little better, lots of footprints and animal tracks. The water features on the back nine appear to be under construction, but it doesn't take away from the enjoyment of the course, but I do hope they get filled back up. I also wish they would supply towels in the carts, when paying 60 bucks for a round it's a nice touch. A shoe cleaning station with compressed air would a nice added amenity, and if they want us to sand our divots they need to supply full sand bottles, not empty ones. I give this place a month and it will be playing sweet, I'll definitely return despite my rant.
Overpriced for conditions
I love this course, however I feel that for the conditions and the season it is extremely overpriced for a waterlogged course.
greens punched without notice
Was not told the greens had been punched until after I had paid. Overall conditions were very poor with the fairways trampled with elk prints. The temp greens were the poorest I have ever seen, most had unfilled divots and elk prints that made them completely unplayable. Was surprised to have one hole with no temp green at all and no mention of it on the tee box. The views were still very nice and a nice walk thru the woods made up for the fact that the actual golf part was terrible. Give this course a solid month to get the course playable.
Standing water from tee to green!!
I played here last summer and liked the layout. The weather report for the few days before i wanted to play was good,no rain.I was surprised to find this course wet everywhere, the fariways were totally soggy! The course was really unplayable, and should have been closed! I found out later by talking to a local that this place does not drain!
Also, the grille does not open until noon.
Wet conditions
Not as good as expected, weather has been good but conditions were sad.
