Long course for the area
This course was by far one of the longest that I have played around El Paso but was well laid out and the pace of play was amazing. I absolutely recommend it.
2nd Worst Course in El Paso
18 months ago this was the best course in the El Paso area. It is now the second worst course in the El Paso area. The only course worse is Fort Bliss and they lost their wells for two years. The fairways are dry and burnt. Over half of the greens have huge spots that are dead. Their is trash all along the cart paths. The staff will tell you that they are intentionally narrowing and shortening the play of the fairways. In doing so they have killed most of the grass leaving short hard burnt fairways. The clubhouse has been closed for most of the past year and now that it is open they cannot keep help so their food is none existent. The pace of play is horrible on the weekends with little or no one pushing golfers. Go elsewhere to golf.
Tee times
The golf course would be nice to play as the landscaping and maintenance it good. And I imagine it on weekdays its a joy. Weekends however, due to very narrow Teetimes, and no control when people play, we had extremely unpleasant waiting times at each Hole. We only played 8 holes instead of 18 holes due to long waiting time (and the closing of the club).
Talking to the mangers about that has even been more unpleasant. We definitely will not go back there on Weekends or Holidays.
Diamond in the rough!
Fun! That's the best word I can use to describe this course. This course demands accuracy off of the tee and shot shaping into the greens. The greens were rolling wonderfully! The only reason for the "good" rating on course conditions was a few dead spots that they appear to be working on correcting.
This course is truly a diamond in the rough at El Paso! Such a surprise to play a desert style course in such wonderful condition! I will be back!
fairways were in winter conditions. Greens were in very good condition and putted true. Course is very playable with some challenging holes. I played from the silver tees. Wind definitely plays a factor on many holes when it is blowing. It was blowing 15-20 mph today. Would like to see the course during the summer once it greens up.
As great as alwasy, unusually slow
It was a very frustrating round. No one cared about the pace of play. Usually after the back 9 the pace picks up(when people quit because it is this slow) but now, come 13th we were two groups on the tee, one on the fairway and one on the putting green. Called and asked for a marshall. Never showed up, fairly disappointed
Great course
This a great course that challenges you on all shots!
Texas Desert Golf
Course was wide open, no starter, hole signage was scant got confused about where to go. All in all not to bad. I would play here again if I lived here.
Great El Paso course
You need to put this course on your must play list!
Great evening round
Course was not busy. Teed off around 5:15pm. Played solo and finished all 18 without any issue. Course was in good shape. Greens were a little burnt on a few holes. Fairways were dry but in good shape. Got tons of roll from the tee, greens held well just a tad firm.

Great fun course - you think you hit a great drive - and you find it in waste bunker - this course keeps you thinking - we really enjoyed it.
